Opting for the power of God over hate, Gospel singer Marcus Stanley posted a profound message on alleged Charleston, S.C., shooter Dylann Roof‘s Facebook page that has moved many Americans to tears.

Stanley told the alleged killer of nine African-American churchgoers that he has accomplished nothing other than “planting seeds of pain.”
Stanley, who found God after being shot eight times by gang members in 2004, was a guest Thursday on Fox News’ “On the Record,” and told host Greta Van Susteren that he decided to write on Roof’s page to bring “hope.”
“I don’t look at you with the eyes of hatred or judge you by your appearance or race, but I look at you as a human being that made a horrible decision to take the lives of nine living and breathing people,” he wrote. “You have accomplished nothing from this killing, but planting seeds of pain that will forever remain in the hearts of the families that lost their lives and countless hearts around our country…”

Stanley appealed to the alleged shooter to give his heart to Jesus.
“I love you, Dylann … even in the midst of the darkness and the pain you have caused,” he said. “[B]ut more importantly, HE loves you.”
