According to league sources, the NFL has found that 11 of the 12 game balls the New England Patriots provided for Sunday’s AFC championship game were under inflated by 2 pounds per square inch of air.
People are already speculating on who is to blame for letting the balls get by, with one observer saying that “the cover up behind 11 of 12 deflated balls is about to be epic.”

The ongoing investigation into the incident is expected to conclude in “two or three days,” Troy Vincent, the league’s senior executive vice president, told ProFootballTalk.com.
With the Patriot’s history, #Deflategate is dominating social media. Here is a sampling of responses, as seen on Twitter:

As a Patriots fan, I’m embarrassed by #Deflategate. Fire whoever was responsible, even if that means Belichick goes. — CamEdwards (@CamEdwards) January 21, 2015
In a related matter, on of the first to report on #Deflategate, WTHR sports columnist Bob Kravitz, took to Twitter to say he is now being threatened by Patriot fans.
“I’ve got a New England lawyer threatening me with having committed libel,” he tweeted.
Kravitz also noted that there may have been concerns about footballs in New England’s divisional playoff game with the Baltimore Ravens:
Ha ha I’ve got a New England lawyer threatening me with having committed libel. The story/tweet was RIGHT. Bring it on spanky

Who was responsible for that normally inflated 12th football. He will probably be fired.

Confirming @JasonLaCanfora story I was also told Balt kickers were concerned about footballs in NE game.
