Radical Islamic cleric Anjam Choudary appeared Sunday on CNN’s “Reliable Sources,” and the “putrid scum” was called out by host Brian Stetler as the interview came to a close for joking about 9/11 during a sound check.
“Here’s what bothers me: when we were setting up for our interview here, the audio engineer asked you to do what every guest does, to count to ten to check the mic, and you started to do that — but then you said 9/11, 7/7, 3/11,” Stetler said. “Is this all some sort of joke to do that?”
In addition to the 9/11 terrorist attacks in America, bombs were detonated in London on 7/7/2005, and in Madrid on 3/11/2004.

“You know, if you had a sense of humor, maybe you would have laughed there,” Choudary said. “It was just a soundcheck. You shouldn’t take any of these things that seriously. It’s not a big issue, it’s not a big deal. But if you want to make it a big deal, by all means do so. But it makes you look much more shallow than me.”
Choudary was in the news late last week when he got into a heated row with Fox News’ Sean Hannity over his radical Islamic beliefs.
As word of the radical Islamic cleric’s sick joke about terrorist attacks made its way to social media, people were quick to react, although “putrid scum” may have summed it up best:
