It must be a bad day when even Hooters refuses to serve you. But that is exactly what is happening to San Diego Mayor Bob Filner.
Francis Barraza, executive director of the Republican Party of San Diego, posted this picture on Twitter Tuesday:
Filner, under fire for allegations of sexual harassment made by over a dozen women, is facing numerous calls for his resignation.
“The signs went up at our four locations in San Diego this morning,” Melissa Fry, director of marketing for Hooters’ West Coast franchise, HootWinc, told Slate. “It’s not a political move for us in any way, shape, or form. We’re strictly taking a stand for the fair treatment of women. At our franchise alone, we employ 1100 beautiful, talented women.”
The poster was designed by conservative radio host Glenn Beck.
“I think this sign should be in every establishment in San Diego,” Beck said last week, according to The Blaze. Beck urged residents not to let a “sexual predator” “get away with” such behavior.
