Bombing suspect awake and answering questions

USA Today, ABC News and NBC News reported Sunday night that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is awake and now being questioned by authorities from his hospital bed.

The 19-year-old suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing is able to answer questions in writing, USA Today reported.

Tsarnaev is being questioned by a “special team of federal investigators at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital,” NBC News said.

He was specifically asked “about other cell members and other unexploded bombs,” ABC News reported via Twitter.

Tsarnaev has been in the hospital since his capture Friday in serious, but stable condition. Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis told reporters the suspect’s condition “stabilized in the last few hours,” USA Today said.

According to the article:

Investigators who have been waiting to interrogate Tsarnaev are looking into the possibility that his neck wound was self inflicted, a federal law enforcement official said.
