In an early sign of the theatrics the left has in store as Congress considers immigration reform, protesters supporting the DREAM Act briefly interrupted the first hearing on the issue of the 113th Congress Tuesday, chanting “undocumented and unafraid” as they were escorted out of the room.
The protesters targeted Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., one of 160 Republicans who voted against the DREAM Act in 2010.
With President Obama having granted de facto amnesty via executive order in June for illegal immigrants under 30 years of age, they are now free to act with impunity in demanding special consideration and entitlements from government.
In addition to the hearing on Capitol Hill, Obama held a meeting Tuesday at the White House on immigration with leaders of various “progressive” groups and organized labor, including the National Council of la Raza, AFL-CIO and Service Employees International Union.
