NASA Is For Space Exploration, Not Muslim Outreach
Orlando, FL – President Obama is running rampant with out of control spending and now wants to duplicate the diplomatic activities of the Department of State, with NASA. The Department of State handles matters of diplomatic programs and capacity building of other nations. We should not be diverting NASA’s attention or agendas to a task already handled by another government agency. NASA has proved the U.S. capable of extraordinary means in science and technology and been a source of national pride. In economic upheaval and NASA hemorrhaging jobs President Obama wants to inspire people from other nations to work with/for NASA. Sandy Adams stated, “The United States simply must continue to lead the world in space exploration. From economic opportunities to our national security, we are losing our preeminence in space and the Obama Administration threatens our strength with its short-sighted policies. It is appalling that our elected Representative, Suzanne Kosmas (D-District 24) has remained silent. She has not shared her position with the citizens she represents and especially our Space Coast. I call upon Suzanne Kosmas to tell us where you stand on this important issue. Your constituents deserve to know.”
The United States is a country that has excelled, and lead the world in space exploration yet the Kosmas-Pelosi-Obama agendas are allowing us to regress. In 1969, we had men on the moon; in 2010, we are ending manned space flight and not leaving low earth orbit without the help of other nations. It is imperative NASA continue in science also technology and inspire our country’s youth without deviation. The Obama Administration’s responsibility is to the citizens of the United States and not the Muslim world.
Republican Representative Sandy Adams calls upon President Obama to share his full vision of NASA’s function to America. It has been months since Obama announced the cancellation of the Constellation program yet days since Charles Bolden, NASA Administrator, instructed the world of President Obama’s additional intentions. NASA shall now be used as a mechanism to engage and educate the Muslim world on their contributions in the fields of science, math and engineering. Adding insult to injury, Charles Bolden and President Obama felt it unnecessary to directly address the American public regarding this agenda change yet found it acceptable to indirectly inform Americans through the Middle Eastern news source, Al Jazeera.
