OutKick host Tomi Lahren didn’t mince words Tuesday during an appearance on “Fox & Friends First” as she defended former President Trump and eviscerated the Biden administration’s border policies.
Responding to a recent Department of Homeland Security report outlining a 300 percent increase in Venezuelan migrant encounters and instructing agents to be on the lookout for recently released Venezuelan criminals, Lahren said the current circumstances are exactly what Trump warned was happening.
“When our former president Donald Trump said that some of these countries are not sending their best, this is exactly what he was talking about, and of course, people attacked him for saying that but it’s obvious what’s happening,” said the “Never Play Dead: How the Truth Makes You Unstoppable” author.
“The Biden administration, with their open border, not only are they a magnet for people to come into this country illegally, they are also essentially operating as a travel agency for criminal organizations and countries that, quite frankly, want to send people that they don’t want in their country to ours to deal with,” she added.

The DHS report sent to agents “indicates the Venezuelan government, under the leadership of Nicolás Maduro Moros, is purposely freeing inmates — including some convicted of murder, rape, and extortion,” NPR reported.
According to the report, Venezuelan criminals were embedded in migrant caravans traveling from Tapachula, Mexico to the U.S. as recently as June.
“The report does not state whether the released prison inmates were traveling as a cohesive group but does state it was commonly shared knowledge among migrants traveling to the United States within a caravan in July that many of the Venezuelan migrants in the group were convicts and included hardened criminals,” NPR said.
The report also doesn’t clarify if the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service plays a role in the releases and whether or not the release of the inmates was a purposeful move to undermine national security.
“We have lawless on our streets, acts being committed by Americans, and then we are bringing in illegal immigrants that have records and rap sheets and we don’t even know their background,” Lahren said Tuesday. “And you add to that the number of got-aways that are not even included in that outlandish total you just mentioned, over 2 million. We’ve got the population equivalent of Ireland that’s come in through our southern border since Biden took office.”
A source with Customs and Border Protection told NPR that identifying Venezuelan criminals is unfeasible.
“The task of identifying Venezuelans who have criminal records in their home country is nearly impossible,” he said. “Of the thousands of Venezuelan migrants surrendering along the U.S.-Mexico border daily, most, are being released into the United States. Without effective diplomatic relations with Venezuela, access to criminal databases in that country simply does not exist.”
“Fox & Friends First” host Todd Piro questioned whether the recent flights and buses of migrants to sanctuary cities across the U.S., including Martha’s Vineyard, might prompt the left to take more interest in illegal immigration and President Joe Biden’s policies.
“You wonder now that liberals are aware that there is a border crisis, thanks to Rhonda Sanchez’s reporting, whether they will actually demand Joe Biden keep actual criminals reportedly from entering our country,” Piro said.
Whatever happens next, the current situation is untenable, Lahren contended.
“This is not sustainable, and Democrats, if they spent half as much time worrying about securing our borders, or actually enforcing our immigration law, as they do trying to keep these migrants out of their cities and their shelters, I think we’d all be much better off.,” she said. “But we know they just don’t have the political motivation to do so. The question is why?”
