Lara Logan slams Joe Biden’s wife Jill for ‘lying’ about his ‘dementia’: ‘Truly reprehensible, disgusting’

Outspoken journalist Lara Logan torched first lady Jill Biden for “lying to the whole country” about President Joe Biden’s “dementia,” calling Dr. Jill’s efforts to prop up her gaffe-ridden husband “truly reprehensible and disgusting.”

The fearless reporter made her comments during an interview with Newsmax host of “The Balance,” Eric Bolling, on Thursday, during which she blasted both political parties and reaffirmed her commitment to “following the facts.”

Logan was asked her thoughts on a recent New York Times piece that suggested that “the political wives” of Republican candidates are being paraded about in a disingenuous attempt to gain favor with voters.

“This year, the Republican Party is under particular pressure to slap a friendly face on its nominees, with a special focus on wooing women,” wrote Michelle Cottle, a member of The Times’ editorial board.

Following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, she argues, Republican campaigns are “racing to moderate their nominees’ positions and soften their images.”

“Cue the emergence of gauzy campaign ads starring the wives of Republican Senate hopefuls getting personal about their hubbies,” Cottle declares.

Characterizing the op-ed as an attack on conservative women, Bolling tapped Logan for her reaction.

Her response was an indictment of both parties.

“I’m not a conservative or a Democrat,” she stated. “I find so many things on both sides disgusting, but, most importantly, I believe in following the facts and the truth — and finding the principles — and there’s a principle here in what you’re talking about, right? Which is that you never going to see The New York Times doing an article about the fact that Jill Biden is propping up her husband.”

“I mean, if you want to know something that is truly reprehensible and disgusting, is here is this woman who knows that her husband has dementia, and yet she’s lying to the whole country,” Logan continued. “She’s lying to her own base, lying to her own supporters.”

“I mean, if there’s anything nauseating about what anyone’s spouses are doing, it’s really quite extraordinary to watch this woman trying to cover up with for the absolute embarrassment that passes for a cognizant human being in the president today,” she said.

She called the unflattering take on conservative political wives “an act of desperation” from The Times “and much of the media.”

“The vast majority of people in this country see through these tactics,” she said. “They know it’s not nice to talk about people like that in your personal life, let alone in the newspapers.”

“You know, I don’t have to like the commercials,” Logan stated regarding the current deluge of campaign ads. “I don’t care about the commercials. I care about the fact that we are living in a time and an age where it’s absolutely okay for the media to demonize and mock and trash people whose politics they don’t like.”
