The places where they live may be in an advanced state of social deterioration and have been overrun by violent criminals but voters in deep blue cities continue to vote for the same Democrat politicians who are responsible for the problems, and Fox News’ Dan Bongino has a theory for the irrational behavior, saying they are embracing “the suck.”

The host of “Unfiltered” joined the gang on Saturday’s edition of “Fox & Friends Weekend” to discuss the astronomical crime rate in New York City with the latest example being a shocking video of a homeless convicted sex offender dropping an innocent bystander with a vicious sucker-punch. The assailant was quickly released on bail after his arrest last week, igniting a public outcry.
Bongino went into an extended take on the staggering crime in the Big Apple as videos of more incidents were played.
“I was up there last week with you guys, I can’t believe what happened to the city, I can’t believe it! I’m like in shock that this has happened,” Bongino, a former New York City Police Department officer and Secret Service agent said.
He then offered up his theory on liberal voters who have put the politicians in place and, despite the increasing danger to their own safety, continue to vote for them.
“When we were in the Secret Service, right, we had this thing called embrace the suck,” he began. “Pete, I’m sure you know what this means. It means you’re in a really crappy, horrible situation. You’re in some hot zone. You’re in a hotel with lizards and rats in it with no running water, and you’re stuck for two weeks and the president’s coming. So do the job. Shut your mouth. Just embrace the suck and get the job done.”
“You ask me, why do people keep voting these people in? Because I swear to you, I think they’ve embraced the suck,” he added. “I think the people of New York and in these liberal cities are like, you know what? We’re in this decline. It just is the way it is. I hate Trump and Republicans. So let me just get mine.”
“You know, FIGMO. Screw it. Got my orders. Pete knows what that means. It’s not screw it, but you get the point. I’m just going to get mine, and everything sucks,” Bongino said. “And that’s it. That’s the only explanation. I do a whole monologue on this tonight that I swear liberal and Democrat voters have just been like, Yeah, eight and a half percent inflation, an open border, Putin in Ukraine, Taiwan, the Formosa Strait blowing up.”
“Oh, yeah, it all sucks. Ain’t going to get any better. But I got mine. I’m good. That’s it. There’s no other explanation,” he said.
Bongino fleshed out his theory on Dem voters embracing “the suck” in a scorching hot monologue on Saturday night’s edition of his own show except he applied it on the national level, crediting the media for being able to successfully brainwash tens of millions of Americans into accepting the new false narrative about President Joe Biden.

“That’s the power of the media,” he said. “Folks, the truth is no matter what spin the media puts on Biden’s economy, calling it a winning streak, he’s on a roll or superman aviator Joe is back, they want you to forget how things were before the Dems took over. It’s the only way Democrats stand a chance, just forget the good old days and be content with the crumbs from the radical left’s table, like Longshank’s table in ‘Braveheart.'”
“It’s like a mass brainwashing experiment,” Bongino concluded.
