Alec Baldwin afraid Trump would ‘instruct people’ to commit ‘violence’ against him for ‘Rust’ shooting

Actor Alec Baldwin appeared on CNN after the latest developments in his fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on a New Mexico movie set last October and once again showed that former President Donald J. Trump continues to live rent-free in his head.

Following a newly-released FBI forensics report that concluded that the 64-year-old television and film star pulled the trigger on the “prop” gun that brought an end to Hutchins’ life during the filming of the western “Rust,” Baldwin played the victim by claiming that he feared that Trump would “instruct” his followers to act out violently against him after the tragic accident.

During his appearance on Friday’s edition of “New Day” in which he rebutted the FBI’s analysis, again claiming that he never said that the gun just went off in his hand, despite telling longtime Clinton loyalist George Stephanopoulos that “The trigger wasn’t pulled. I didn’t pull the trigger…I would never point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger at them, never,” in an interview last year.

When the topic turned to Trump – who Baldwin portrayed on NBC flagship “Saturday Night Live” in a recurring role – Baldwin went to the well with the narrative that those who have supported the former president are violent extremists, a smear that has been amplified by media as well as politicians in response to criticism of the FBI’s storming of Mar-a-Lago.

“The former President of the United States said ‘he probably shot her on purpose,’ Baldwin said. “To me, that is the only time I thought, that I needed, that I was worried, about what was gonna happen. Cause here was Trump who instructed people to commit acts of violence, and he was pointing the finger at me and saying that I was responsible for the death.”

While the ex-POTUS never suggested that anyone should commit violence against the self-obsessed Hollywood veteran, he did raise questions about the killing of Hutchins during an appearance on the Chris Stigall Show last November.

“As bad as it may have been kept, meaning, you know, the people that take care of the equipment and the guns and everything else … But even if it was loaded, and that’s a weird thing — maybe he loaded it,” Trump told the host. “He’s a cuckoo-bird, he’s a nutjob. And usually, when there’s somebody like that, you know, in my opinion, he had something to do with it.”

“But if nothing else, how do you take a gun and just, whether it’s loaded or not loaded, how do you take a gun, point it at somebody that’s not even in the movie and just point it at this person and pull the trigger and now she’s dead?” Trump asked.

“One thousand percent I’m nervous that a bunch of people who were instructed by the former president to go to the Capitol and they killed a law enforcement officer, they killed somebody,” Baldwin said, repeating the big lie that Trump supporters murdered a Capitol Hill cop on January 6, 2021, a myth that like the Charlottesville very fine people “on both sides” continues to be parroted by the media.

“And you don’t think that I think to myself that some of those people are gonna come and kill me?” Baldwin asked.

By virtue of being a celebrity and a vitriolic Trump hater, Baldwin can always count on being provided with a forum from sympathetic media as he cunningly seeks to try his case in the court of public opinion.
