Former President Donald Trump’s bitter niece, Mary Trump, continues to obsessively pontificate about the prospect of her uncle being indicted and going to prison — which, FYI, is something most people realistically believe will never happen.
Yet for some reason, “journalists” and commenters keep listening to her wild speculation, despite her having no ties to Trump or his inner circle.
Speaking last Wednesday with far-left radio show host Thom Hartmann, a guy who thinks Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is a “fascist,” she went so far as to predict that if her uncle is indicted, he’ll go scorched-Earth and “turn on everybody.”
The discussion with Hartmann began with him asking her how she believes Trump will respond if and when he’s indicted.
“We should expect a full court press by him and everybody in his orbit to change the subject, muddy the waters, deflect, project, cast blame on everybody from the lowliest of White House aides on up. He will not take it lying down, and he will engage everybody who continues to be a hanger-on to do his bidding,” Mary replied.
“And that’s partially why we’re here, right? I mean, Donald didn’t do this by himself. He was enabled at every turn from people in his inner circle, everybody in the executive branch, and almost the entirety of the Republican Party.”
“Enabled” to do what exactly? Cut taxes, boost the economy, fix the border crisis? It’s not clear what Mary meant.

Hartman responded by asking whether Trump will “be spraying his fire” on his enemies or his allies.
“So do you think he’s going to be spraying his fire, as it were, at his enemies, or what he views as the people who might have thwarted his efforts? … Or is he going to, is he going to turn on the people who were with him, you know, the Jim Jordans and Marjorie Taylor Green’s and whatnot, the people who essentially failed in pulling this thing off,” he said.
Mary replied by claiming he’ll “turn on everybody.”
“I think he’s going to turn on everybody. I think he’s, as we’ve seen, his circle is getting smaller and smaller by the controversy. So I think there will be very few people left standing.”
“We hope he gets indicted. It will be shocking and unconscionable if he isn’t based on what we know now. … But even at this point, Donald probably doesn’t think that anything is going to happen because nothing ever has. He’s done terrible things for his entire life, and not once has he been held accountable. So there is no precedent,” she added.
Hartman then brought up the recent news that Trump’s July 15th rally in North Carolina was rescheduled so that he could “testify in a deposition.”

“How do you think that that’s going to go?” he asked.
“I mean, some of his previous deposition testimony has been extraordinarily damning,” Mary replied.
She then proceeded to tell a bold-faced lie.
“One of my favorite parts about that is that the people who bought tickets to his event aren’t getting their money refunded. Surprise, surprise,” she said.
“The cancellation of former President Donald Trump’s North Carolina rally Friday caused confusion on Monday about whether people who bought tickets could get their money back. Yes, according to the group organizing the event,” the News & Observer confirmed last Tuesday, a day before Mary’s radio interview.
It wasn’t the first lie she’d told, nor will it likely be the last. Ever since she rose to fame as an anti-Trump zealot who’s related to the former president, she’s been trotting out dubious claims that haven’t passed the smell test.
For instance, in an interview back in January with The Independent, she claimed that her uncle’s mental state was deteriorating.
“Somebody with the degree and the seriousness of the psychological disorders he has does not get better without any kind of therapeutic intervention. Like any other untreated illness, things just don’t miraculously get better, especially when you take into consideration the fact that he’s been under enormous amounts of stress. He probably suffered the greatest narcissistic injury of his life in 2020. And regardless of how many lies he tells himself or other people, he is a loser,” she said.
Yet this “untreated illness” certainly hasn’t shown in the numerous rallies the president has conducted through the spring and summer.

Even Meghan McCain, who’s no fan of the former president, has suggested Mary’s nothing more than a gold-digging grifter.
During a discussion with her on “The View” back in 2020, she straight-up called Mary out right to her face.
“You’re not close enough with the family where you say you have any relationship with Ivanka. I mean, I think the last thing I understand is that you did end up going to her wedding, but you thought you were only invited as a courtesy,” she said.
“Again, I just know that in my family … the people who are close are close. I certainly have extended family who I don’t interact with or certainly only interact with at funerals and things like that. So I don’t think people like that would know the inner workings of my immediate family dynamic in the way you present it.”
