Actress Kate Hudson surprised and delighted her fans with a cheeky, nearly-nude photo of her sipping coffee topless. Her brother, on the other hand, was less than delighted with the star’s snap.
Hudson’s celebrity peers raved about the photo. Paris Hilton, Selma Blair, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Janelle Monae weighed in with nothing but praise for the daring photo.

Kate’s brother Oliver Hudson also commented with a short “Nope..” that is definitely giving off “I saw something I shouldn’t have” energy. Several kind commenters sympathized with his reply, while others pointed out that his own profile picture was a snap of his bare bottom.
Nudity is no stranger to the Hudson family, though, as the elder Hudson noted during his interview with People in 2021. Discussing the topic, he credits his and Kate Hudson’s general attitude toward nakedness to his mom Goldie Hawn and step-father Kurt Russell.
“It comes from growing up in a very open family, honestly. Nudity has never been taboo. We were all born naked and it’s the way it is,” he explained. “Even now with my kids, we’re just naked people. That’s just the way it is. I’m definitely comfortable with it.”
Some may call him a hypocrite for his response to his sister’s topless shot, however, as Oliver Hudson has also posted his share of bareness. In a video taken by one of his sons, the actor can be seen running away from the camera with nary a stitch of clothing in sight. Instagram removed the video but Hudson re-posted it, not agreeing that it violated the Terms of Service and pointing out that more inappropriate photos had been published than what he had put up. The video also gave birth to his profile picture.
Kate and Oliver Hudson host a podcast called “Sibling Revelry” where they interview other famous siblings, such as Rob and Chad Lowe and Mary and Stella McCartney.
