Filmmaker Michael Moore marked Independence Day by posting a bitter rant in which he bemoaned a series of Supreme Court rulings that cut the legs out from under the radical left agenda, whining that he no longer wants “full citizenship” after abortion rights cornerstone Roe v. Wade was overturned.
The morbidly obese propagandist aired his grievances in the form of a declaration that he described as his “Independence Day Substack Sparkler Party” in which he besmirched America as a nation under white supremacy and vowed to lead a national strike to shut down a portion of the nation’s economy in order to force immediate change.
“I refuse to live in a country threatened by white supremacy — and I’m not leaving. So we‘ve got a problem,” the 68-year-old Moore declared. “I cannot in good conscience continue to receive the privileges of ‘full citizenship’ in this land when all of its women and girls have now been, by Court decree, declared official second-class citizens with no rights to their own bodies and conscripted to a life of Forced Birth should they fall pregnant and not want to be.”
A mass shooting to celebrate the 4th. A wealthy class that doubled its wealth while the country suffered. A Supreme Court that stripped 51% of our citizens of their reproductive rights while removing gun laws & killing the EPA. My Declaration: https://t.co/HJreg0lD50

Moore also drew on themes of racial resentment. “I demand an end to the mass incarceration of Black Americans, an end to police shooting Black people, and I demand that reparations be made to the Black community for all they currently have to suffer and endure,” he wrote.
He also called for the removal of “every single Republican from office in November,” a ridiculous statement that insults the intelligence of his followers, many of whom likely understand that such an objective is impossible with only a fraction of the Senate Republicans facing voters this year.
“Until women’s rights have been fully reinstated, and their equal rights are enshrined in our Constitution (now that the required 38 states have passed the Equal Rights Amendment), I will not shut up about this,” he promised. “If you invite me to dinner that’s all I’m gonna talk about. Have me over to your party and it’s going to be, ‘Dobbs, Dobbs, and more Dobbs!’ And I won’t stop until Roe is reinstated and 51% of Congress is female.”
Moore also wrote, “I will help to organize a massive Get Out The Vote drive amongst the millions who follow me on social media, listen to my podcast, and read my Substack column. I will join with others to tour the country. No candidate will get our support unless they sign a pledge stating they will vote to make Roe v. Wade the law of the land; make gerrymandering and voter suppression illegal; eliminate the filibuster; upgrade Obamacare to Universal Health Care for All; pass strong gun control laws; and end the police executions and racist incarcerations of Black citizens.”
“I will help lead a national strike, in whatever form it needs to take, and if we want to see immediate change, watch what happens when we shut down even 10% of the country. POOF! goes Wall Street! Hit ‘em where it counts,” he concluded.
Twitter users responded to Moore’s silly declaration, a pathetic cry for attention by a man who preaches populism but is, in reality, a multi-millionaire.

You're apart of that "Wealthy" Class and you really do not care for the people who are struggling to pay their bills and put food on their table. You just care about pushing an Agenda that you get paid to push. https://t.co/bCwV8fENLa

The funniest bit is his call for a general strike…as if the people on his side do anything remotely like useful work. I mean, it will be hard to get along without Deputy Assistant Diversity Directors…but we'll struggle through. https://t.co/I8uHwI2oAh

You have zero rights to complain when you are only bashing one side while worshiping the other. You also have zero rights to complain about rights when rights are actually given not taken away – instead of fed dictation, each state will decide on their own, representing citizens.

Your declaration is stuff you're already doing…so it's more of a cry for attention? https://t.co/nnVGnNZGrO

Once a successful producer and director of such films as “Roger and Me,” “Bowling for Columbine” which won an Oscar for best documentary, and the anti-Bush “Fahrenheit 9/11,” Moore has struggled to appeal to audiences as his one-time crossover appeal was discarded in recent years in favor of a more strident and, some would say, openly fascistic response to the presidency of Donald J. Trump.
While his avid fans will eat it up, Moore’s declaration is just a sad cry for attention from a guy who is struggling to be relevant again.
