‘Nope. Not funding’: MTG gives big thumbs down to Navy’s ‘bulls**t’ pronoun initiative

After experiencing a string of fatal accidents, the Navy has announced a ‘safety pause’ and in the meantime is concentrating on teaching sailors how to use proper gender pronouns.

Following the tragic mishaps, the Navy is now training its members to create a “safe space” using proper gender pronouns via a video that basically treats them like little children.

“Hi! My name is Jony, and I use he/him pronouns,” Naval Undersea Warfare Center engineer Jony Rozon intones during the opening of the video. He’s emblazoned in a rainbow-colored shirt ostensibly recognizing Pride Month. Fellow engineer Conchy Vasquez is also wearing a shirt beneath a jacket with visible rainbow colors.

The Defense Visual Information Distribution Service official training video emphasizes “the importance of using correct pronouns as well as polite etiquette when you may not be sure of someone’s pronouns,” according to the Navy. They are proudly promoting the instructional contents as an “official U.S. Navy video” posted by Air Force staff sergeant John Vannucci.

Evidently, this kind of teaching now spans all arms of the U.S. military. U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia is having none of it.

“Which is worse, the topic or the fact that they feel they need to talk to service members like children?” asked Donald Trump Jr. on Twitter. “We’re going to lose/keep losing major conflicts if this continues…”

The Army is now promoting similar gender identity training. According to the Washington Free Beacon, it is training officers on when to offer subordinates gender-transition surgery as recommended by the Biden administration.

The Navy’s four-minute video instructs individuals on how they can create “a safe space” for their fellow sailors by using “inclusive language” that signals they are “allies” who “accept everybody.” Service members are required to do this to ensure they do not “misgender someone.” The Navy also warns staff against pressuring an individual to disclose his or her gender pronouns, telling them that sailors may still be in “the process of discovery” and not yet ready to provide this information.

“A pronoun is how we identify ourselves apart from our name, and it’s also how people refer to us in conversations,” Vasquez notes.

“Using the right pronouns is a really simple way to affirm someone’s identity. It is a signal of acceptance and respect,” Rozon adds.

“Instead of saying something like ‘Hey guys,’ you can say, ‘Hey everyone,’ or ‘Hey team,'” he advises.

Inclusivity is heavily promoted in the woke, politically correct video.

“Another way that we could show that we’re allies and that we accept everybody is to maybe include our pronouns in our emails or, like we just did, introduce ourselves using our pronouns,” Vasquez continues.

“Some people may be going through the process of discovery, and they are not ready yet to tell you what their pronouns are, and that’s OK,” she contends. If a colleague doesn’t wish to disclose their gender pronouns, Navy members should “continue to use general-neutral language.”

The video also goes into what the correct steps are to address a case when a person “misgender[s] someone.”

“I think the first thing to recognize is that it’s not the end of the world. You correct yourself and move on, or you accept the correction and move on,” Vasquez seriously states. “The most important thing I can tell you is do not put the burden of making you feel good about your mistake on the person that you just misgendered.”

Service members are advised to practice memorizing a person’s gender pronouns by going “through a progression of three good things about the person using their pronouns.”

“Let’s say the person chooses to use ‘they,'” Vasquez posits. “Then you will in your mind go, ‘They have a nice shirt. They have a nice smile. They are really smart.’ So that kinda sticks in your brain.”
