Gaetz quips he’d rather trim Pelosi’s ‘toenails’ with his teeth, give her ‘a sponge bath’ than have dinner with one lawmaker

U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz grossed out Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene by proclaiming he’d rather give House Speaker Nancy Pelosi a sponge bath or trim her toenails with his teeth than dine with Rep. Adam Schiff.

Schiff (D-Calif.), who is a vocal Jan. 6 committee member, is Gaetz’s least favorite Democrat hands down. The Florida Republican sat down with Greene during her “MTG Live” podcast this week to discuss the televised inquisition of Jan. 6 protesters by those on the left and expressed his depthless disdain for Schiff during the interview.

“If you peel back the layers of the onion on the Russia hoax and the Ukraine, kind of like bad knockoff of the Russia hoax, at the core of it all is Adam Schiff’s deep-rooted narcissism,” Gaetz charged during the interview with Greene. “He needed to be the star of these things, and it resulted in him truly writing these works of fiction and then trying to draw the American people into them. Those failed.”

Gaetz wondered aloud how much influence Schiff might have during the Jan. 6 committee hearings, asking if “Democrats are willing to ride and die with Adam yet again” before confirming that Schiff is at the bottom of the heap concerning his favorite members in Congress.

“Is he your least favorite member? He’s mine,” Gaetz adamantly stated to Greene after discussing the role Schiff would play in the proceedings Thursday night.

“He’s at the top for me,” Greene noted just before Gaetz put everyone off their feed while expressing his contempt for the California congressman.

“I would rather give Nancy Pelosi a sponge bath than endure like one dinner with Adam Schiff,” he gaggingly remarked while Greene laughed and said that was disgusting, echoing the sentiments of anyone listening to the podcast.

“Just to bring this into technicolor for you, OK, a lot of people would say maybe Pelosi is their least favorite member. No way! I would trim her toenails with my teeth before I would have dinner with Adam [Schiff],” he continued.

Greene played into Gaetz’s nightmarish declaration by asking him, “Would you trim her toenails? Would you trim her toenails?”

“I would trim her toenails with my teeth before I would go to dinner with Adam Kinzinger,” Gaetz misspoke, but then quickly corrected himself by saying he meant Adam Schiff. To be fair, he also holds Kinzinger (R-Ill.) in contempt as most conservatives do but Schiff is in a class by himself for Gaetz.

“That’s really impressive,” Greene commented before pointing out that Schiff has “abused his power in Congress” by pushing the “Russia hoax” and now by going after Jan. 6 protesters with an inquisitor’s glee and brutal abandon.

“I think he should be expelled from Congress,” she stated, “and I think he owes a debt to the American people for all the tax dollars that he has wasted, emotional harm… he destroyed people’s character through his efforts, and he’s continuing to do so. I honestly think that he should actually, possibly be prosecuted and put in jail.”

“I would not expel him from Congress. I would not allow him to sit on committees, but I fundamentally believe that the only people who get to pick who is in Congress are the people in that district,” Gaetz asserted.

The young Republican firebrand also shredded the Jan. 6 committee, claiming the hearing on Thursday was part of its effort to “impeach an entire movement” of people seeking election integrity.
