‘C’mon, Elon!’ Maher shocked that Musk would ditch Dems: ‘I’m not going to say he’s a stupid man…’

Host of “Real Time” on HBO, Bill Maher, lashed out at Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Friday after the billionaire publicly stated that he would vote Republican in upcoming elections due to the radical leftist policies being pushed by Democrats, despite having never done so before.

Maher was adamant that despite disagreeing with Democrats on numerous issues, he could never cast his vote for a Republican because the party “doesn’t believe in the emergency of climate change or democracy.”

“Elon Musk this week — I’m a big fan in many ways, but when he says, ‘Now I’m going to vote Republican,’ I’ve got to part company there. C’mon, Elon,” Maher swiped, according to Fox News.

“I can’t go there with him because of what I just said, because of where the big issues are, but it’s troubling to me that a guy like that who said, ‘I voted mostly Democrat for the longest time and now I’m switching.’ I mean, I’m not going to say is a stupid man… So the fact that he can be taken over by the Republicans, what does that tell you about the Democrats? What do they have to do to stop that from happening?” he rhetorically asked.

Musk virally tweeted on Wednesday his disdain for Democrats and proclaimed that he will now vote Republican.

“In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party,” he tweeted. “But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican.”

“Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold,” he prophetically added. “Judging by the relentless hatestream from the far left, this tweet was spot on.”

Musk was accused of sexual harassment this week following that statement by a former SpaceX flight attendant who suddenly claimed that he exposed himself to her in 2016 during a massage.

He is now putting together a world-class legal team to fight back against politically-motivated attacks.

Comedian Adam Carolla chimed in on Maher’s panel and pointed to numerous issues that the Democrats are far to the left on, including regulations on businesses. It’s why Musk moved his Tesla headquarters out of California to Texas.

Maher responded by noting that Musk is a “genius,” but he contended that he is “lacking some perspective here on what party is the most dangerous now.”

Former Democratic National Committee chair Donna Brazile had blinders on and claimed there isn’t a “movement” away from the Democratic Party, attempting to minimize Musk’s political epiphany.

“Well, there may not be a movement because there is a bit of an exodus,” Maher clapped back at Brazile. “I mean, people leave this state and move to Texas. That happens. Look at the polls for what’s gonna happen in November. People are voting more Republican in November. The Democrats are going to get their a**es kicked.”

Maher appears to be a big fan of Musk taking over Twitter, stating that he hopes he will restore free speech principles on the social media platform.

But he’s certainly no fan of Republicans. He even said they “are talking like Nazis” when discussing JD Vance in Ohio during his show.

“You mentioned JD Vance? He says last week, ‘if you wanted to kill a bunch of MAGA voters, how better to target them and their kids than with deadly fentanyl. It does look intentional.’ So he’s saying the Democrats are intentionally poisoning people with fentanyl,” Maher asserted.

“Elise Stefanik, she’s number 3 Republican. Former normal person. She had a statement on Twitter that started ‘The White House, house dems, and the usual pedo grifters.’ Pedo. So, like it’s routine to call the Dems [pedophiles]. I’m sorry, the Republicans are talking like Nazis. I know we’re not supposed to make the Nazi comparison, but when you’re [saying] ‘pedophiles,’ when you’re scum, when you’re the enemies of America, ‘people are trying to replace you,’ this is Nazi kind of talk,” he charged.
