Joy Reid’s MSNBC show plummets to lowest-rated month ever as audience evaporates

In a sign that even liberals are no longer buying what she’s selling, MSNBC bomb-thrower Joy Reid’s ratings are cratering, falling to their lowest level since her show debuted in 2020, yet another very bad omen for Democrats who are set to reap the whirlwind for the seeds of racial discord that they have spent years sowing.

Despite April being a heavy news month, especially with the contentious Senate confirmation hearings of newly minted Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, a veritable bonanza for race-obsessed MSNBC pundits, “The ReidOut” struggled to attract viewers, putting up an average of a measly 1.1 million viewers in an indication that “the race lady” may have already passed her sell-by date.

“ReidOut” averaged 1.1 million viewers during the news-heavy month, a 31% decline from April of last year. She also shed 11% of viewers who tuned in last month and a staggering 51% compared to the show’s debut month of July 2020,” Fox News reported, citing data from Nielsen Media Research.

In even worse news for the host, she “has also lost 57% of her total audience among the advertiser-coveted demographic of adults age 25-54 since the program launched in July 2020, finishing April with a dismal demo average of only 124,000 viewers. “ReidOut” viewership during April was MSNBC’s least-watched month during the weeknight 7 p.m. hour among the critical demo since July 2015,” according to the outlet.

During April, every single Fox News Channel weekday program – including “FOX & Friends First” which airs from 4-6 a.m. ET – outdrew “The ReidOut,” noted Fox News.

Reid’s reliance on race as her first, last and only resort could be having diminishing returns as her shtick becomes more ridiculous with each passing day.

She absurdly suggested that billionaire Elon Musk, who wrecked the left’s world when he bought Twitter earlier this week, has a sinister secret plan to revive South African apartheid, a loony claim that is based only on her own anti-white phobia and the fact that the Tesla/SpaceX CEO is from South Africa.

“Elon Musk, I guess he, you know, he misses the old South Africa in the 80s. He wants, he wants that back,” she said.

The flailing host also stirred the pot over the weekend when she floated the racially-charged conspiracy theory about three young black children in Florida who were holding signs that were unfavorable to the left’s poisonous dogma of Critical Race Theory, accusing the Gov. Ron DeSantis of using the kids as “props” and of committing an act of child abuse.

“This mis-use of Black boys is tantamount to child abuse. I would really like to hear the back-story on who these kids were and how they wound up at a DeSantis event. Given how anti-Black DeSantis is, using Black children this way is extra sick,” she tweeted of the image from last week’s signing of a bill to restrain the teaching of what the governor called a “pernicious ideology” in Sunshine State schools.

Twitter reacted to the sad news of Reid’s ratings freefall.

Reid’s horrific ratings come at a time when MSNBC is ready to roll out the welcome mat for its new superstar, White House press secretary Jen Psaki who will be bringing her condescending snark to a forum that’s a much more appropriate fit for her.
