Former and perhaps future president Donald Trump has a pretty good record as an accurate forecaster. So when he foresees a bad outcome for your marriage, you’d better pay attention.
Are you listening, Harry and Meghan?
Because according to reporting from the New York Post, Trump has predicted a quick end to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s marriage and says that the runaway prince is “an embarrassment” for the way he’s treated his family and his country. During an interview with Piers Morgan, which is set to air Monday, Trump contends that Prince Harry “is being led around by his nose” by the former actress, and used a colorful expression to express his view of their marriage.
“Harry is whipped,” Trump said in the interview. “Do you know the expression?”
“I’m familiar with the phrase,” Morgan replied.
“I won’t use the full expression,” Trump continued, “but Harry is whipped like no other person I think I’ve seen.”
He went on to explain that he agrees with Morgan about the formerly royal couple, who have forsaken the United Kingdom to live in California. Morgan himself has some pretty strong opinions about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, having stormed off the set of “Good Morning Britain” last year when he refused to apologize to the couple for previous harsh comments about them.

“I’m not a fan of Meghan,” Trump explained.
“I’m not a fan and I wasn’t right from the beginning. I think poor Harry is being led around by his nose. And I think he’s an embarrassment. And I think she spoke badly of the royal family but in particular the Queen,” he added.
Trump met Queen Elizabeth, of course, during his time in the White House, and has maintained that the two of them got along quite well.
“She liked me and I liked her,” he said.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex—Harry and Meghan’s official titles—have been married since 2018, but their time together has been mostly marked by complaining about their hard lot in life and their very public break with the Royal family. In an infamous interview with Oprah, Markle made some explosive charges about encountering racism in the palace, fostering a toxic environment that caused her to contemplate suicide during her first pregnancy.
Trump explained in his interview that he thinks Meghan and Harry shouldn’t be allowed to keep their titles.
“The only thing I disagree with the Queen on, probably one of the only things ever, is that I think she would have said, ‘If that’s your choice, fine. But you no longer have titles.’ You know?
“I think that [Harry] has been so disrespectful to the country, and it’s a great country,” Trump observed. “I own a lot of things there…”
Trump ended by predicting the couple’s marriage would have a “bad” ending, believing that the stress caused by the couple’s estrangement from the Royal family will cause a great deal of friction and that Harry will grow tired of Meghan’s nagging.
“So, I want to know what’s going to happen when Harry decides he’s had enough of being bossed around,” he wondered. “Or maybe when she decides that she likes some other guy better. I want to know what’s going to happen when it ends, OK?”
“You think it’s gonna end?” Morgan asked.
“I do,” Trump responded. “I’ve been a very good predictor, as you know. I predicted almost everything. It’ll end and it’ll end bad. And I wonder if Harry’s gonna go back on his hands and knees, back into the beautiful city of London and say, ‘Please.’ You know, I think Harry has been led down a path.”
