MSNBC bomb-thrower says black conservatives like Hershel Walker ‘shucking and jiving’ for their ‘white handlers’

With a likely electoral day of reckoning fast approaching for Democrats, there is much consternation with “woke” leftists who are clearly concerned that their political power is ebbing as voters reject their extreme agenda along with Joe Biden’s failed policies and to some, the idea that all black people aren’t in lockstep with the party is one that is intolerable.

MSNBC regular Elie Mystal, who is obsessed with race, lashed out at black conservatives like former NFL superstar running back Herschel Walker, who is running for a U.S. Senate seat in Georgia, as well as other black Republicans during an appearance on Saturday’s edition of “The Cross Connection” with Tiffany Cross.

The host opened the segment with, “I’m just going to say it, I don’t know a lot of black Republicans who really ride for black people,” showing a video clip of Virginia Lt. Governor Winsome Sears, Walker and South Carolina Republican Senator Tim Scott, all black conservatives, claiming that such opinions are “never heard at the cookout,” a remark that disrespects the intelligence of millions of black Americans.

She then welcomed black Republican Rufus Montgomery whose reasoned manner and attempt to have a serious conversation was soon overwhelmed by the emotional Mystal’s raving in which the justice correspondent for the far-left magazine The Nation insulted conservatives of color as tokens eager to appease their white masters.

Setting the table for Mystal’s bull in a China shop schtick, Cross used the term “black diaspora” to refer to African-Americans, insisting that they are being harmed by GOP policies before allowing Montgomery to speak.

Mystal was then unleashed.

“Look, I make a hard distinction between black conservatives, of which there are many, one of whom just was elected mayor of New York City, in fact, and these tokens, who are out here right now, shucking and jiving for their white handlers,” he said.

He continued, “And the way that you can know the difference between a token, and a person who just happens to have conservative views, is that the black conservative has an argument for why their policies will help the black community.”

“So I’m sure Rufus and I could go back and forth about where the capital gains tax should be, Rufus would argue that the capital gains would help black people, lowering the capital gains tax, would help black people build wealth. And I could disagree with that, right?” Mystal added.

“Do you think Herschel Walker understood that sentence? Do you?” Mystal said, drawing laughter from Cross. “Because there is no argument that suppressing the votes of African-Americans helps the African-American community, there’s no argument that police brutality helps black people get stronger,” he ranted, punctuating his words with wild gestures.

“There’s no argument that gerrymandering away black representation in Congress helps the African-American community right,” he said. “So the problem is that black conservatives right now, the ones who are still with the Republican party are running on a platform that is against the interests of black people.”

Biden himself perhaps best summed it up during a 2020 radio interview with Charlamagne tha God, igniting a firestorm when he told the host, “if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black,” which at the time was dismissed as a gaffe by his handlers but such sentiment runs deep within the party when it comes to black conservatives, just take it from Mystal.
