Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) spoke with Bill Hemmer Thursday on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” and asserted that U.S. law enforcement and intelligence agencies, as well as the “corruption of the complicit media” have had far greater influence over elections in America than any scheming the foreign adversary of Russia could have executed.
As GOP lawmakers in the House call upon the Department of Justice to be expeditious in providing information on its investigation into Hunter Biden, host Bill Hemmer asked Johnson if the Senate planned to act in concert.
“When you have investigations into corruption within the public realm, when you’re talking about public political figures, we did this backwards,” Johnson stated. “I think we should start with congressional investigations. We should have full access to all the information. If we see possible wrongdoing, then we would refer it to the Justice Department.”
He continued, “What happens now is the Justice Department starts a criminal investigation and then Congress, which means the American public get no information whatsoever even though that information is crucial for the electorate to determine whether or not they want to vote for somebody.”
“You’ve seen the polls. Had the American public known the corruption of Biden Inc., of Hunter Biden, ‘the big guy,’ Joe Biden would not be president. My guess, we probably wouldn’t see Vladimir Putin invading Ukraine,” the senator opined.
“These – the actions taken, the corruption of the complicit media and elements within our law enforcement and intelligence agencies have had an incredible, serious impact on our politics, on elections. They interfered in our elections to a far greater extent than anything Russia ever could have hoped to achieve,” he declared.
Fifteen Republican legislators in the House recently penned a letter to the DOJ demanding more action as it relates to suspected improprieties on the part of Hunter Biden and perhaps President Biden as well.
“[L]egal questions plaguing Hunter Biden continue to arise and cast doubt on President Joe Biden and his administration…It is imperative that the Department of Justice brief Congress on the nature of Mr. Weiss’s investigation into Hunter Biden,” the lawmakers wrote to Attorney General Merrick Garland, Fox News reported.
“Congress has a constitutional obligation to conduct oversight of the Executive Branch and a moral obligation to examine if the President of the United States or any senior official in his administration is ethically compromised or injured,” they added.
Signatories of the letter included U.S. Reps. Bob Good (R-VA), as well as high-profile MAGA stalwarts such as Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA) and Matt Gaetz (R-FL) as well as Chip Roy (R-TX) along with Freedom Caucus chair Andy Biggs (R-AZ).
Hemmer asked Johnson, “If there is a Republican majority in the Senate come November, or January of next year, how do you then compel them to cooperate with you at that point?”
Johnson replied, “You start issuing subpoenas. But then you have to enforce the subpoenas. And it’s difficult to enforce the subpoena when you have the opposite party in power in the AG’s office and you have an AG that’s partisan. That’s what we have right now.”
He concluded, “It’s going to be difficult. Public pressure means an awful lot. I think that’s why it’s so important for this information to get out in the public realm so the public puts pressure on the attorney general to be a straight shooter and provide the American people the information it needs – the American people deserve the truth.”

Every time Ron Johnson opens his mouth, he makes more claims and accusations. It would be so refreshing if he ever had documentation or other proof. Come on Ron, give us some real EVIDENCE that stands up in court.
So what are they/we/you going to do about it?
Too many sit on their seats keeping them warm, doing little, and IMO, are so deeply in the swamp they can’t see their way out. They are fat and content in their warm seats and seemingly can’t be disturbed to act.
Senator Johnson and Grassley are two good ones.
Senator Johnson is right! And the interference needs to stop. Media also. They really interfered. Johnson is one of the best in DC.
… add to it the judiciary totally controlled by the Dinos and Rinos (elitocracy).
It is very obvious that the Justice Dept/FBI are one with the DEM cabal! They cover for them, even work for them as they did in the Jan 6th set up of Trump supporters, Hillary’s many crimes, Biden’s illegitimate and illegal actions…there is no difference between those who are supposed to uphold the law to the DEMS! It is a CABAL
The only way we are going to get our Country back and hold those criminals responsible is through the Military bc our Country is far gone at this point!
You may be right Suzy. Trump has done everything in his power to get the states, the politicians and the courts to straighten this mess out from the perspective it should be. I just hope one of the states breaks the ice on election corruption and other states will follow just like they did on audits.
Once we get passed the midterms and if Repubs. gain control and sit on their hands as usual and the Marxist left continues their constitutional abuses and or this administration becomes dysfunctional it may be military time.
Republicans had all three branches in 2017, and they “questioned and threatened” social media for their censorship but nothing came of it!!! They had hearing about Hillary gross and criminal actions, but nothing came of it! They know that Fauci lied and continues to lie but only a few are holding this genocidal criminal accountable! Except for Johnson not many have come out against the jabs/mandates and most egregiously the side effects and deaths from the jabs that have yet to be told!
Many are voting for aiding and abetting Ukraine, a criminal enterprise being used by people like the Biden criminal family, Pelosi, Mitt Romney and many more! They know Ukraine’s history, yet we are sending equipment to what is known as the Nazi Battalion, we are literally arming Nazi in Ukraine! Ukraine has been everything profitable for the DEMS/RINO as evident in Hunter Biden’s laptop and even Joe himself caught on Camera extorting the Ukraine, they have a lot invested in Ukraine and they are willing that Ukrainians die at the hand of the Nazi to protect their enterprises in Ukraine!
We need a major purge in the Republican party, they are compromised by the DEMS
