Maher says Dems will get ‘a**es kicked’ in midterms, comes together with Joe Rogan to slam vaccines

Bill Maher, an unapologetic liberal who tends to irk the left by occasionally seeing the light, joined the much-maligned podcast host Joe Rogan to discuss the upcoming midterms as well as vaccines.

During their discussion of Democrats and their increasing potential to lose critical seats during the 2022 midterms, Maher noted that the party has become “goofier” over the last ten years and that has likely caused a large number of people to jump off the train.

“We are both seen as people who are common-sensical,” Maher explained. “And that is what there is a hunger for, I think, in America more than anything, is common sense. Away from the extremes.”

He argued this left-ward shift of the Democratic Party is why he looks more “conservative” compared to some of his peers.

“People say to me, ‘Don’t you think you’ve gotten more conservative?’ No, I haven’t,” he said. “The Left has gotten goofier. So, I seem more conservative, maybe. But like, it’s not me who changed.”

“I feel I’m the same guy, but five years ago we hadn’t spent $6 trillion to stay home. I mean, I understand we had to do something with the pandemic. I’m not sure… we didn’t spend a trillion to bail out the economy in 2008,” Maher added.

He specifically pointed out the far left’s stances on transgenderism, defunding/abolishing the police, and support of looting.

“Five years ago, no one was talking about abolishing the police. There was no talk about pregnant men. I mean, looting was still illegal. So, like have I changed? No, because if someone had said 20 years ago ‘I’m not sure looting is a bad thing,’ I would’ve opposed it then. So, I haven’t changed,” Maher insisted.

Not quite finished angering the progressives, Maher and Rogan also discussed vaccines, which have all but fallen out of the news cycle in recent months. Maher admitted that he simply doesn’t trust Big Pharma to be completely forthcoming with the ingredients used in their jabs.

“I don’t trust them to tell me the truth about what they put in there. Most people are giving us too much credit for where we are medically. My point of view is we are still at the infancy of understanding how the human body works. So don’t tell me things like, ‘Just do what we say, don’t question it. When have we ever been wrong?’ A lot.”

This caused Rogan to chuckle and add, “All the time!”

Maher sarcastically pretended to be a medical expert saying, “‘We are perfectly certain that this vaccine is safe!’ You don’t f – – king know that!”

“They’ve taken hundreds of drugs off the market,” Maher pointed out, prompting Rogan to once again agree.

“All the time,” the podcaster replied. “They do it every year.”
