The woman whose adulterous fling with an anti-Trump Republican congressman torpedoed his reelection bid defended herself against those who might suggest that she’s a “homewrecker” in an interview conducted days after news of the steamy hot affair broke.

Former “ISIS bride” Tania Joya spoke with the New York Post after bombshell revelations published by a conservative website led to the sudden announcement of Texas Rep. Van Taylor who was forced to withdraw from a primary runoff in the Lone Star State’s 3rd Congressional District on Wednesday.

The sultry 38-year-old is also known as Tania Georgelas, the last name of her former husband John, an American who converted to Islam, was radicalized and became one of the Islamic state’s top recruiters, relocating to Syria to join the terrorist group in 2013 and dragging his family along with him.

Joya, who managed to escape and return to Texas told the Post, “People can call me a homewrecker but, you know what, f–k that because adultery is something in society that happens.”

According to Joya, she loved Taylor and believed that the now-disgraced House member would leave his wife and three children but came to believe that “he was a two-faced womanizer who was using her” and the relationship soured to the point where she dropped the dime to his spouse.

“I warned Van I would [tell her]. I was reacting. I was like, she has every right to know what kind of man she’s married to,” she said, according to the outlet.

Joya, who was profiled by The Atlantic in a video about her travails that dubbed her the “First Lady of ISIS” said that she tired of Taylor’s excuses for not leaving his wife, particularly because of his daughters.

“If it’s just about your child, well guess what, divorce is pretty normal today. We’re not living in the 18th century. But he wouldn’t because he was afraid of his reputation as a Republican conservative. He didn’t want people to say that his marriage wasn’t perfect,” Joya said.

Taylor announced the bad news to his supporters in an emailed statement. “About a year ago, I made a horrible mistake that has caused deep hurt and pain among those I love most in this world. I had an affair, it was wrong, and it was the greatest failure of my life,” he said.

Taylor, who had already incurred the ire of Trump supporters when he along with 35 other establishment Republicans threw in with Nancy Pelosi by backing the creation of the committee to investigate the so-called “insurrection,” was hit with a double whammy by both Breitbart as well as the National File which both published articles dishing on his affair with Joya who provided details to the outlets.

The National File story was particularly damaging to Taylor’s political prospects, featuring not only a video interview with his jilted lover but also images of ultra-raunchy text messages that described the graphic sexual acts that he wanted to do with her.

Joya told the New York Post that she didn’t know that Taylor had taken advantage of her “until the end” when he tried to dump her to date “other” Indian women, infuriating the native of Bangladesh.

“I found it extremely offensive, because I was like, you’re breaking up with me saying you want to be with your wife but then you’re talking about having sex with other Indian women?” she said.

“I even said to him, ‘It’s you who can’t keep your hands to yourself. It’s you who can’t keep your d–k in your pants.’ He knew I was in love with him,” Joya added, according to the Post.

Taylor is expected to serve out the remainder of his current term which ends in January 2023, whether his marriage lasts that long is another question.
