The endless witch hunt that has been conducted against former President Donald J. Trump and his family continues as New York Attorney General Letitia James has opened a new front in the left’s efforts to preempt another White House run by any means necessary.

On Tuesday, James announced that her office will seek to force Trump, his oldest son Don Jr. and daughter Ivanka to testify under oath about alleged misrepresentations of asset values by the Trump Organization in order to gain financial benefit including loans, insurance coverage, and tax deductions.

In a motion filed in a New York court, James contends that Trump “misstated” and “miscategorized” assets including the size of his Manhattan penthouse and the value of his Scotland golf course. Her office is seeking to compel Trump to comply with subpoenas in a case that his legal team has described as “an unprecedented and unconstitutional maneuver.”

After the news of the legal filing broke, James took to Twitter to crow about the latest move against Trump who has faced an onslaught of legal and political persecution ever since he sprung the upset of the century against the “invincible” Hillary Clinton in 2016.

“We are taking legal action to force Donald Trump, Donald Trump, Jr., and Ivanka Trump to comply with our investigation into the Trump Organization’s financial dealings,” she wrote. “No one in this country can pick and choose if and how the law applies to them.”

She added, “We have uncovered significant evidence indicating that the Trump Organization used fraudulent and misleading asset valuations on multiple properties to obtain economic benefits, including loans, insurance coverage, and tax deductions for years.”

James also boasted about using the power of her office to go after his kids, greatly raising the stakes in the Democrats’ war on Trump.

In the last volley of her tweetstorm, James wrote “We will not be deterred in our efforts to continue this investigation, uncover the facts, and pursue justice, no matter how many roadblocks Mr. Trump and his family throw in our way.”

“No one is above the law,” she concluded.

James’ actions come after the former president’s children refused to cooperate with the “political” probe and sought to quash the subpoenas earlier this month.

Trump’s media adversaries squealed with glee at the prospect that their elusive target is now caught in what one outlet called a “pincer move” with Nancy Pelosi’s sham “insurrection” committee also zeroing in for the kill following the latest round of subpoenas issued out of Washington D.C.

Whether or not James will finally be the one who nails Trump after years of failure by others who have tried remains to be seen but, at least for now, she is the left’s best hope of blocking the possibility of what would be a triumphant return that would be their worst nightmare.
