Actress Amy Schumer has never been shy about her weight, but her recent physical transformation is making headlines for a different reason.
In a couple of photos posted to Instagram, Schumer noted her struggles with endometriosis and her decision to get liposuction, which resulted in a stunning 170-pound weight loss.
“I feel good. Finally. It’s been a journey thanks for helping me get my strength back @seckinmd (endo) @jordanternermd (lipo) never thought i would do anything but talk to me after your uterus doesn’t contract for 2.5 years and you turn 40. @paulvincent22 vickie Lee (acupuncture) my girl Nicole from the tox my friends and fam. Let’s go!” Schumer wrote, accompanied by two pictures of her on the beach in a swimsuit.

The comedian, who has a 2-year-old son with husband Chris Fisher underwent surgery in September to have her uterus and appendix removed in an effort to treat her endometriosis.
“All my lifelong pain explained and lifted out of my body,” she revealed in an audio clip on Instagram. “I am already a changed person.”
In a candid statement about the “work” she’s had done, she admits that she used to be judgmental about people who have had similar procedures, but turning 40 has changed her opinion.
“Turning 40 all my surgeries I want to feel the best I can about myself,” she said. “I got lipo and I had a great experience doing that. I used to be really [judgmental] about people getting work done. Now I’m like, do everything you can to love yourself exactly as you are but once you turn 40 and have a c section do whatever the f—k will make you feel best!”
Despite the positivity she received on Instagram, Twitter was a different story. Some argued that liposuction doesn’t count as weight loss, while others only care that she still “isn’t funny.”
