Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is no fan of the CDC’s new guidance that reduced quarantine time to five days and the New York Democrat raged that expecting the COVID-stricken to return to work after such a short time is “sociopathic” in an update on her condition after coming down with the virus.

AOC — who suffered great embarrassment when she tested positive following her recent Florida getaway. where the socialist diva was busted maskless in Miami sucking down cocktails and partying in a packed drag bar despite her criticism of the Sunshine State — has surfaced, bringing an end to a rare period of silence from the attention seeking congresswoman.

Ocasio-Cortez took to Instagram where she posted pictures of two positive tests as well as her snuggling with her dog, along with a screed detailing her battle with the virus which she claimed was “probably omicron.” Without knowing what strain of the virus she had contracted, Ocasio-Cortez declared that the latest variant was not “mild” and decrying the “rugged individualism” of those who are opposed to mask mandates and other restrictive measures imposed by Democrats.

“Welp, so it happened. Got COVID, probably omicron. As of today I am thankfully recovered and wrapping up quarantine, but COVID was no joke,” wrote AOC in a post that read like a condensed version of The Communist Manifesto, “For a while I’ve noted the term “mild” is misleading when the bar is hospitalization and death. Even “mild” cases can result in long COVID, which includes a range of conditions like cognitive impairment, POTS, & chronic fatigue,’

She added, “The idea of forcing people to work just 5 days after symptoms start is sociopathic and 100% informed by a culture that accepts sacrificing human lives for profit margins as a fair trade. The good news is that we have an antidote: community,” in yet another appeal to the collectivism that she has championed since she exploded onto the political scene.

AOC also called out the “selfish” motivations of “individualistic” COVID mitigation measures that the media has focused on including wearing masks and getting jabbed.

“And while some of these recommendations are good – like getting a vaccine + wearing masks where appropriate, the motivations for them should just be selfish,” she wrote, “It should also be bc we actually give a damn about other people – our disabled neighbors, our coworkers who haven’t said (and shouldn’t be obligated to say) they’re immunocompromised, etc.”

She added, “It’s truly bizarre to me that giving a sh*t about other people is a polarizing political stance, but my dad used to say that life makes you repeat lessons until you learn them. And if there’s one lesson I think that we as a country are repeating until we learn, it’s that community and collective good is our best shot through our greatest challenges – way more than discorded acts of “rugged individualism” and the bootstrap propaganda we’ve been spoon-fed since birth.”

AOC concluded, “Individualism is inadequate for planetary forces like climate change or global pandemics, no less societal ones like healthcare, economic inequality and racism, But WE, as a collective, can confront them. In a world of MEs, let’s build team WE.”

When last seen in Miami, ‘team WE” was warmly received by fellow partyers, many of whom she could have potentially spread the virus to due to her reluctance to practice what she preaches.

When faced with Twitter backlash over her Florida soiree, Ocasio-Cortez suggested that those who criticized her for her blatant hypocrisy were only doing so because they are mad that they can’t sleep with her and that they were “protecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet,” a tweet that was met with much mockery.

Upon returning to the Big Apple, AOC screamed for attention by posting a short video of her and Riley Roberts in what appeared to be an airport parking garage reiterating her conspiracy theory about Republicans being obsessed with his feet.

Days later, she announced that she had tested positive for COVID despite having received her booster shot.

While those who reveled in the schadenfreude of her infection in the aftermath of her Florida trip were likely pleased over the relative silence during her recovery period, that brief respite is now over and she’s back with a vengeance.
