DeSantis says Biden, Fauci ‘hostile’ to him because he pushes MAb ‘treatment’ along with COVID vaccines

According to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, the endless series of negative establishment media headlines being published daily about him, in addition to Democrats’ incessant attacks on him, are all rooted purely in politics.

In an interview with Fox News’ “Life, Liberty & Levin” host Mark Levin set to air Sunday, he said it’s “all political,” though ironically, it’s also proof that he’s doing his job correctly.

“If the corporate press nationally isn’t attacking me, then I’m probably not doing my job. So the fact that they are attacking me is a good indication that, you know what, I’m tackling the big issues,” he explained.

“We’re going after critical race theory. We’re fighting back against Biden’s mandates. We’re fighting back against illegal immigration – all those things that a vast majority of Floridians and Americans want to see done but that does threaten the ruling class and the regime.”

His point was that if he was doing all the wrong things — allowing racial essentialism (CRT) to flourish, not protecting the elderly, forcing COVID mandates on his constituents, etc. — then they’d probably be praising him, because these things comprise the policies of the media’s preferred party, the Democrat Party.

But he’s not doing the bidding of the Democrat Party, and so typing his name into Google brings up a slew of negative headlines and the very rare positive headline.

“Florida’s COVID cases and hospitalizations are surging, but the state has the second-lowest death rate in the nation. What’s going on?” one lonesome somewhat positive headline from the South Florida Sun Sentinel reads.

Granted, the piece goes into great detail trying to attribute the low death rate to anything but the governor’s policies.

And even when it mentions policies such as his promotion of monoclonal antibody treatment, it attempts to downplay them by claiming “evidence suggests these same treatments are losing their effectiveness in the fight against the mutating virus and likely will not work as well to lessen the effect of the disease during the new wave.”

As a reminder, the entire establishment press gave disgraced former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo the benefit of the doubt during the start of the pandemic, endlessly praising his policies without actually scrutinizing them.

Not til much later — long after it’d already appeared in conservative media — did the establishment press begin to realize that Cuomo’s policies were killing people.

Conversely, DeSantis says his policies have actually saved people, though unlike Cuomo, he’s received zero credit from the establishment press.

“We set up these centers this summer when we started to see the delta variant rear its head, and it worked. We were keeping tens of thousands of people out of the hospital, saved thousands of lives. No one disputes that,” he said.

If anything, Democrats and their media allies bashed him at the time, claiming the treatments did nothing and that he was promoting them for profit.

Yet months later, something remarkable happened: The Biden administration acknowledged that the treatment protocol works and began commandeering the nation’s supply of it.

“[T]he federal government decided to seize control of the monoclonal antibodies and cut supplies to Florida and Texas, mainly,” the governor explained to Levin.

He responded by getting in direct touch with monoclonal antibody providers.

When the Omicron variant emerged in late fall, he tried reaching out to the administration again for more treatments, but they rejected him, claiming he’d been using too much of the treatment.

“Well, part of the reason we use more than other states is because we’ve actually embraced treatment. Most of these other governors and people like [Dr. Anthony] Fauci and the federal leadership, they basically say get a shot, wear a mask, and they never talk about treatment,” DeSantis said to Levin in defense of his policies.

“I wish the vaccines were sterilizing, but they’re not providing that type of an immunity. So to just not deal with treatment and be hostile to people like me who are, it shows so much of this is about a political agenda.”

He’s not the only one to make such a bold accusation. Plenty of experts — albeit not the sort of “experts” preferred by the establishment press — have said the same because of the administration’s habitually anti-scientific policies, from forcing the vaccinated to mask up to ignoring the importance of natural immunity.
