President Joe Biden gave an absurdly muddled answer when asked about whether or not the coronavirus is going to be with us a while.

Amid a severe spike of the virus in the U.S. and around the world, the president was asked for his thoughts about the future as Americans are faced with renewed restrictions and lockdowns with ongoing COVID-19 mutations.

“No, I don’t think COVID is here to stay,” Biden replied to a reporter at the White House after he had spoken about the economy.

“But having COVID in the environment here and in the world is probably here to stay,” he added, evidently covering all the bases in his confusing answer.

Candidate Biden had repeatedly attacked then-President Donald Trump for his handling of the raging pandemic, claiming he did not have a plan while vowing that, if elected, he would “shut down the virus.”

But on Friday, after days and weeks of showing he actually has no plan at all, Biden promised a “new normal” would be even “better” than what Americans are facing now.

“COVID as we’re dealing with it now is not here to stay, the normal doesn’t have to be. We have so many more tools we developed and we continue to develop that can contain COVID and other strains of COVID,” he said.

“We’re going to be able to control this. The new normal is not going to be what it is now, it’s going to be better,” the president added.
