Declaring “clean up on aisle Kamala,” Fox News host Jesse Watters took a crack at Vice President Kamala Harris for failing to mitigate rumors of tension between her office and the White House during an ABC News interview.

On Thursday’s episode of “The Five,” Watters said the vice president was “forced to do her own damage control after a brutal report on dysfunction in her office and allegations that there is a nasty feud going on between her staff and Joe Biden’s White House.”

ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos did his part by pushing the narrative that the Biden administration is at fault, suggesting Harris can be more helpful than she’s been asked to be, asking the vice president if she feels “misused or underused?”

Harris, who pushed the Build Back Better agenda in the interview, claiming it will counter inflation, and said the record flow of migrants across the southern border with Mexico can’t be stopped overnight — the numbers are nearing 2 million this year alone — replied, “No, I don’t. I’m very, very excited about the work that we have accomplished. But I am also absolutely, absolutely clear-eyed that there is a lot more to do, and we’re gonna get it done.”

As for her dismal polling numbers, which are 10 points below President Biden’s numbers, which are fittingly in the basement themselves, Harris replied that polls “go up, they go down,” adding that “what is most important is that we remain consistent.”

And Harris has done just that, remaining consistently bad at her job as Watters noted that she was “way out of her league” as the face of the border crisis. The Fox News host also reported that the vice president’s communications director Ashley Etienne announced amid all the high drama that she was out and will be leaving in December.

Co-host Greg Gutfeld said Harris was worse than the cable guy when it comes to the border.

“The cable guy, he’ll be four, five hours late but he will fix the cable,” he said, adding, “She’s a heartbeat away from the president, and the current heartbeat is owned by Joe Biden. which is scary. She’s like the on-deck batter, and the pitcher at the plate, they know he’s going to whiff in three. She’s that close. I love that [White House press secretary] Jen Saki blames all of this on racism and sexism even though it was coming from the White House, which means — I guess that makes Joe Biden a white supremacist.”

In suggesting that this may be “the most inept presidential administration in history,” Gutfeld pointed out that the players involved have been in politics forever.

“This is not like Trump, who is the consummate outsider,” he explained. “These are insiders of elites with combined experience of probably centuries and they’ve been doing this job for decades and they suck. What does that tell you? You need people who aren’t in government to run government.”

Co-host Lisa “Kennedy” Montgomery weighed in to say she gets it that governing is hard work, but the administration consistently talks about how they can’t wave a magic wand or flip a switch.

“But what has happened in the White House, staffers in the Biden administration have reached critical mass. They have decided she’s the anvil pulling the administration down,” she said, adding that Harris’ poll numbers likely reflect the fact that people trust her less than they trust Biden.

Coming full circle, the segment closed with Watters saying the ABC interview should have low-hanging fruit for Harris because of Stephanopoulos.

“That should have been an easy interview for her. I mean, Stephanopoulos – he’s a hardcore Democrat. That’s where you go to clean things up, and she couldn’t even do that,” Watters said.
