Democrats and their operatives have flooded social media with falsehoods about Kyle Rittenhouse, seeking to distort and distract from what many feel is a clear-cut case of self-defense as the teen’s future hangs in the balance and they continue to be enabled by leftist dominated social media companies.

One of those who has blatantly lied about Rittenhouse and the most basic facts of the case is Rep. Ayanna Pressley, a charter member of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “Squad” and a woman who during her short congressional career, has continually demonstrated an uncanny proclivity for trafficking in racially inflammatory falsehoods.

There is one tweet by Pressley that has drawn notable attention and, while it wasn’t unleashed recently, the fact that despite her demonstrably false claims, it is still up on Twitter speaks volumes about the tech giant’s hypocrisy when it comes to the selective enforcement of its own policies on disinformation.

In the tweet from last August, the congresswoman claims that not only is Rittenhouse a “white supremacist domestic terrorist” but that he “drove across state lines, armed with an AR 15.”

However, the claim that Rittenhouse’s mother drove him to Kenosha with the gun that ultimately saved his young life has been debunked, including by trusted “fact-checkers” including the Associated Press and PolitiFact.

On Thursday, Fox News’ senior political analyst Brit Hume took to Twitter to call out Jack Dorsey’s Ministry of Truth, asking why Pressley’s tweet which contains obviously false claims remains up despite the company’s insistence that it is “policing false claims” to limit misinformation.

Other Twitter users weighed in on the double standards that are endemic in Silicon Valley where leftist ideology reigns supreme.

AP found the claim that Wendy Rittenhouse drove her son across state lines with the rifle to be “False.”

“According to testimony in Rittenhouse’s murder trial, he drove to Kenosha the day before the shootings and spent the night at a friend’s house, where the gun used in the shooting was kept. It wasn’t until the next day that he took the gun from the house and went to the Kenosha protests, where the shootings occurred. The testimony was not challenged,” AP noted.

“We could find nothing to back the attack on Wendy Rittenhouse,” PolitiFact concluded. “There is no evidence that Wendy Rittenhouse, who has not been charged with a crime, drove her son to Kenosha, and no evidence that Kyle Rittenhouse was armed when he left their Illinois home. According to court documents and testimony, Kyle Rittenhouse arrived in Kenosha on his own and went to the protest with a friend who provided him with the gun. The gun was kept at the home of the friend’s stepfather in Kenosha.”

It’s one thing for perpetually dishonest purveyors of hate such as MSNBC’s Joy Reid, aka “the race lady,” to peddle lies about the case in order to poison the well of public opinion and foment racial hostility but quite another for sitting members of Congress to lie with impunity with the consequences of their fibs likely to result in riots that will destroy the property of innocent people and may well result in violent deaths.

However, it is the social media companies that will bear the brunt of the blame if Kenosha is burned down again for their key role in allowing leftist lies to be promulgated across their platforms.
