Kamala Harris destroyed over patronizing remark that people with disabilities should be ‘allowed’ to ‘participate in society’

Social media is hardly reacting favorably to a perceived patronizing statement by VP Kamala Harris about Americans with developmental challenges.

In an awkward moment, “cackling Kamala,” as Judge Jeanine Pirro has nicknamed her, inexplicably started laughing, as she often does in other settings, during an interview when she said, in part, “we should allow people with disabilities to fully participate in society.”

In making this reference, Harris was apparently promoting her boss’s so-called massive and controversial spending plan ‘Build Back Better’, which is encountering difficulties making its way even through the Democrat-controlled Congress because of its enormous price tag.

The Democrat’s condescending take particularly infuriated Twitter user and Big Government foe Zelda A. Gabriel, a college student.

“B—-h, stop, please. I don’t need your damn permission, or government intervention, to be a part of society and do what I need/can do. How DARE you act as if I need your say so, or government intervention, to be a part of life,” she wrote, as part of a series of comments along these lines (*warning for language).

When another user asked her why she was so angry, Gabriel forthrightly responded that “I’m angry that Kamala literally said ‘we should allow people with disabilities to fully participate in society,’ as if I need permission from others, whether in the federal government or otherwise, to be apart of society. F— that.”

She subsequently added that “I’m angry that Kamala (and I’m sure plenty of others on the Left) think I need their permission to be a part of society or exist.”

Gabriel also opined, among other things, that “My disabilities don’t mean I need government’s okay or help to live ad part of society. My disabilities don’t mean I need someone else’s okay to exist or be a part of life. This is disgusting,” she added.

Gabriel also underscored that she supports the Americans with Disabilities Act, which protects the legal rights of disabled people.

This law, among other provisions, requires employers to provide covered workers with a reasonable accommodation in the context of work tasks.

Zelda Gabriel punctuated the discussion by writing “Thank you to all of you for supporting my rant at Kamala Harris and thank you even more to those sharing their stories of their disabilities or those they know with disabilities. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one with this position.”
