Greg Gutfeld is calling out “fake feminist” Kirsten Powers for hypocrisy after the CNN political analyst took to Twitter to seemingly justify the harassment of U.S. Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) by left-wing activists, including following the lawmaker into a restroom at the University of Arizona.
“When people called [Powers] on this, she said ‘hey look, you know, if Kyrsten did not want to be bothered in the bathroom, she shouldn’t have gone to the bathroom.’ That’s kind of like saying you asked for it,” the Fox News host said, also noting that filming someone in the bathroom could be an illegal act.
The co-host of “The Five” also wondered why Powers, given her avowed sisterhood credentials, never spoke up for unarmed Air Force vet Ashli Babbitt who was fatally shot by a cop at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.
“She was a familiar face here,” Gutfeld recalled on Wednesday’s broadcast about former Fox News contributor Powers. “Always lecturing us on how poorly women in politics are treated, and the need for grace. It was always about grace in civil life. And then she goes after Sinema. She felt that this was a cause for confrontation. She’s a hypocrite.’
Powers is the author of a soon-to-be-released, self-help book called “Saving Grace.”
Her original tweet implied that confrontation is okay if someone’s parents are subject to deportation (although deportations under the open-borders Biden administration are few and far between.)
The U.S. Senate parliamentarian has rejected Democrats’ efforts to include amnesty for illegal immigrants in the $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill, however, that the protesters support.
Which is worse: your grandparents being deported or being followed into a bathroom (bc you refused to stop and listen) by ppl desperate for your help? This is not a trick question.

“This is the same logic that she is using, like some issues are so important that you have to confront people, that was the same reason that Ashli Babbitt had when she went to the Capitol, and she was murdered, an unarmed protester shot dead,” Gutfeld continued.
“I did a search. I couldn’t find anything by Kirsten Powers about Ashli Babbitt, like saying ‘Oh, my God, this woman went to speak truth to power’ — no pun intended — ‘And she was murdered.’ You’d think Kirsten Powers would go, like, ‘Oh.’ Because you know what? They might share religious similarity. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re both religious,” he said.
“But I think that when it comes to this bathroom stuff, Kirsten Powers isn’t turning the other cheek, literally; she’s made her name lecturing people on grace and then goes to CNN and does an about-face. Hypocrite,” he added.

Powers, who presented as a reasonable Democrat while on Fox News, is hardly the only corporate media pundit whose ideology changed upon switching news networks.
At the moment, moderate Dems Sinema and Joe Manchin are, for the most part, all that stand in the way of the Democrats in Congress achieving the full extent of their enormous socialist spending goals, which is why the progressive activists have become particularly aggressive.
During the segment, the Fox News quintet also discussed how Attorney General Merrick Garland’s Justice Department is trying to intimidate peaceful parents for exercising their First Amendment rights at school board meetings.

Highlighting the irony, Gutfeld insisted that Democrat officials are simultaneously de-criminalizing actual physical crime (which is surging in many areas) while “decent citizens are being criminalized.
Social media users also responded to Powers’ tweet. Here is a representative sampling:
Here’s what’s worse: you getting back on Twitter with your dumb takes.

Which is illegal: Your grandparents entering the country without going through legal channels or filming people in bathrooms w/o their consent? This is not a trick question. (Both are illegal)

My grandmother came here legally, so she didn’t have to worry about being deported. I brought my kids here legally. They don’t have to worry about being deported. See how that works?

Do you want Trump to win again in 2024? This is not a trick question. The way the Dems are behaving, the GOP will sweep the 2022 mid-terms and win back the WH in 2024. Stunts like that, do not help.

This is a false equivalence. There is no either/or. It is absolutely inappropriate to follow anyone into a restroom, filming or not, to harass them. Doing it for show is even worse. If you haven’t noticed, people are unhinged, and this can be very dangerous. Inexcusable.

Who wants to be the first person to attempt to film Kirsten Powers in a restroom. What do you think the bail will be? Should we start a GoFundMe now? pic.twitter.com/c0sSU0eCfA

So it’s okay to bully US Senators to vote for a mammoth 3.5T bill (most of which has nothing to do with immigration) that will affect 360M people because something bad happened to their family? Nonsense.

seeing how being stalked is a crime and so is being in the country against the immigration laws ……… i think being followed into the bathroom would be worse then.
