While President Biden was in Idaho Monday addressing the wildfire emergency in the state, his livestream feed was suddenly cut off by the White House when he went off-script to ask one of the attendees a question.
“Can I ask you a question?” the President asked George Geissler of the National Association of State Foresters.
“Of course,” Geissler answered.
“One of the things that I’ve been working on with some others is…” Biden said before the audio and video coverage was suddenly cut off without warning.

Immediately following the abrupt silencing of the president, a message appeared that said “THANK YOU FOR JOINING,” according to a clip that was posted on Twitter by the research arm of the Republican National Committee.
Biden was in Boise, Idaho to address the wildfires that are raging across the west. They have been doing so for months and have left devastation in their path. This is the first time that Biden has given a nod to the fire emergency in western states.
While there, he claimed his “first job offer” was from Boise Cascade Lumber, according to the New York Post.
“I used to tell Frank Church this, I got a — my first job offer, where I wanted — my wife, deceased wife and I wanted to move to Idaho because we — not a joke — it’s such a beautiful, beautiful state. And I interviewed for a job at Boise Cascade,” Biden claimed.
He continued, “And in the meantime, there was a war going on. Anyway. But the whole point was that I used to always kid Frank.”
Boise Cascade spokeswoman Lisa Tschampl adamantly stated, “We have no record of President Biden’s application or of him having worked for the company.”
Tschampl told the newspaper that “we checked our system internally and nothing has turned up.”
Biden’s Idaho visit was welcomed by hundreds of protesters.

The feed-cut incident comes just days after Politico revealed that White House staffers cringe when they have to watch Biden on television and a number of them don’t watch or listen because they fear gaffes or that he will stray wildly off-topic.
The media outlet reported last week that “many” people who work in the White House mute the President or turn him off altogether when he speaks because they dread he’ll take questions from reporters.
“I know people who habitually don’t watch it live for that reason,” one anonymous source stated.

The president is notoriously handled and managed by various staff members to ensure he does not say something that can be considered foolish, incoherent, or damaging to the presidency. This is the latest example in a growing list of incidents where his feed is cut off or he refuses to take questions. Biden has admitted that he is a “gaffe machine.”
In August, another livestream was interrupted as Biden was about to answer a question posed by a reporter on his decision to withdraw troops from Afghanistan. His feed was also cut in March during a virtual meeting where he said he’d be “happy to take questions” from Democrats.
Biden is known to easily lose his temper, wander off-topic, mumble, and speak incoherently during public appearances. He has acknowledged over and over that he is told to stick to prepared remarks and not answer questions.
“I’m not supposed to be answering all these questions,” he told reporters during a briefing on COVID in May.
“Now, I’m supposed to stop and walk out of the room here,” he said as supporters laughed during a Labor Day union speech. “I’m going to stop. But with your permission, I’m going to walk into the room because I want to say hello to all of you.”
During a podcast interview in May, White House press secretary Jen Psaki stated that allowing Biden to field questions from journalists was “not something we recommend,” and added, “In fact, a lot of times we say, ‘Don’t take questions.’”
Psaki then remarked, “He’s going to do what he wants to do because he’s the president of the United States.”
The silencing of Biden once again went viral on social media:
