Melania Trump responds to bitter fmr. press secretary teasing tell-all book about her

Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham’s tell-all book, promising “surprising new scandals” and comparing Melania Trump to Marie Antoinette, elicited a strong response from the former first lady.

“The intent behind this book is obvious. It is an attempt to redeem herself after a poor performance as press secretary, failed personal relationships, and unprofessional behavior in the White House,” Melania Trump’s office declared in a statement.

Melania Trump’s mention of Grisham’s “failed personal relationships” is apparently a reference to her aide’s “past relationship with former Trump aide Max Miller” according to Politico.

“Citing three people familiar with the incident, Politico Magazine reported in July that the relationship ‘ended when he pushed her against a wall and slapped her in the face in his Washington apartment after she accused him of cheating on her,’” Politico reported. “He denied the allegation.”

The first lady was like “the doomed French queen,” Grisham reportedly wrote in her memoir. “Dismissive. Defeated. Detached.”

“Through mistruth and betrayal, she seeks to gain relevance and money at the expense of Mrs. Trump,” the former First Lady’s office added after the vicious quote was revealed.

Grisham’s “top-secret” memoir, “I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw at the Trump White House,” is set to be published on October 5 by Harper Collins.

“When I heard this, all I could think about was Stephanie surrounded by a lake of gasoline, striking a match with a grin on her face,” one source, noted as a “former West Wing colleague,” dramatically remarked to Axios.

“There isn’t enough water on earth to contain the fire she could set to all of Trump world, including parts like the first lady’s orbit, which not many people are in a position to illuminate,” the source asserted. “It’s hard to articulate how much anxiety this is going to cause.”

“Grisham knows where all the bodies are buried because she buried a lot of them herself,” another anonymous source claimed. Grisham “has receipts … she was a press person and it was her job to make sure she knew what was happening.”

The media outlet noted that Melania Trump “guarded her privacy intensely and trusted almost nobody during her time as first lady. Grisham, as her chief of staff, was one of the very few allowed into her inner sanctum.” Grisham is said to have spent time with the Trumps in their residence.

Among other dubious claims, Grisham accused the former first lady of not wanting to respond to the Capitol riot on January 6.

However, Melania Trump did release a statement condemning the violence on Jan. 11.

“I am disappointed and disheartened with what happened last week,” the statement said. “I find it shameful that surrounding these tragic events there has been salacious gossip, unwarranted personal attacks, and false misleading accusations on me – from people who are looking to be relevant and have an agenda. This time is solely about healing our country and its citizens. It should not be used for personal gain.”

“Our Nation must heal in a civil manner,” Mrs. Trump contended. “Make no mistake about it, I absolutely condemn the violence that has occurred on our Nation’s Capitol. Violence is never acceptable.”

A publishing source also told Politico that Grisham had “stirred up a hornet’s nest” and would reveal “potentially unflattering nuggets” about others in the Trump orbit including Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law and chief adviser, and Mark Meadows, the former president’s chief of staff.

“Stephanie has secrets about Trump that even the first lady doesn’t know,” Politico quoted the source. “Secrets that he doesn’t want her to know. They will be in this book.”

Grisham’s book may be “hotly awaited” in some circles but many, many people on both sides of the political spectrum could care less:
