House Speaker Nancy Pelosi traveled to Texas on Thursday to promote President Biden’s “Build Back Better” agenda, pushing healthcare while ignoring Afghanistan and vowing to codify Roe v. Wade in the wake of the state’s new anti-abortion law.
“When we go back to Washington, we will be putting Roe v. Wade codification on the floor of the House to make sure that women everywhere have access to the reproductive health that they need,” Pelosi asserted. “To codify Roe v. Wade would make a tremendous, tremendous difference, and that is where our focus will be,” she proclaimed.
But Macarena Martinez of the Republican National Committee (RNC) ripped her timing in light of the bloody Afghanistan debacle. “It’s inappropriate and insensitive for Nancy Pelosi to be promoting the Democrats’ agenda when Americans are still stranded in Afghanistan,” declared Martinez, according to KXAN-TV of Austin.
“Pelosi should get back to Washington, D.C., convene Congress and demand answers for Biden’s failed withdrawal in Afghanistan,” she argued.

Marinez also tweeted, “Texans don’t want Pelosi here. Go back to DC and do your job. There are still Americans stranded in Afghanistan.”

Pelosi was flanked by Texas U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett and Austin Mayor Steve Adler as she attempted to sell healthcare and abortion rights. She excoriated Texas Republicans for making Texas one of 12 states that don’t offer expanded Medicaid services.
“It’s almost an immorality to say, ‘I will not accept money from the federal government for 100% paying for Medicaid. My decision is, I will cut millions of people in my state,’” the Speaker chided.
Pelosi’s actual agenda for visiting Texas appears to be her unbridled rage at the Supreme Court for not stopping Texas’ new abortion law. Leftists are claiming that it could be the end of Roe v. Wade and abortion in the United States and are calling to pack the Supreme Court and abolish the filibuster over it.
Republicans promised to overturn Roe v Wade, and they have.
Democrats can either abolish the filibuster and expand the court, or do nothing as millions of peoples’ bodies, rights, and lives are sacrificed for far-right minority rule.

“We expect to see copycats, and that’s why it’s necessary to have a national law passed of Roe v. Wade, protecting women’s rights wherever they live across the country, whatever their economic status is,” Pelosi proclaimed, citing the threat that other states would follow Texas’ example.
“Right now people do know the danger reproductive health is in, and we’re talking about termination of a pregnancy here,” she stated. “Understand this: in the Congress, Republicans have been opposed to contraception, family planning [and] anything that would minimize the need for somebody to make such a decision.”
The Texas law prohibits abortions once medical professionals can detect a heartbeat, usually around six weeks. It also allows individuals to civilly sue anyone who assists with an abortion after the cut-off date.
No freedom is more precious than life itself.
Starting today, every unborn child with a heartbeat will be protected from the ravages of abortion.

Pelosi announced that the House would vote on a bill sponsored by Rep. Judy Chu (D-CA) called the Women’s Health Protection Act. The bill’s focus is “to protect a person’s ability to determine whether to continue or end a pregnancy and to protect a health care provider’s ability to provide abortion services.”
The law seeks to strike down current state restrictions on abortion and prevent states from imposing new restrictions. However, many believe that the proposed bill would violate the 10th Amendment which provides for states’ rights.

“Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi want to permanently stifle American debate on abortion and instead impose a regime of abortion on demand, up until the moment of birth, paid for by the taxpayer,” Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List wrote in a statement. “The deceptively named ‘Women’s Health Protection Act’ should really be called the ‘National Abortion on Demand Act.’ Existing laws at risk if the legislation passes include limits on late-term abortions, waiting periods, informed consent laws, and limits on discriminatory abortions, and many others.”
On Friday, a Texas state judge issued a temporary restraining order shielding the state’s abortion clinics from lawsuits that are permitted under the new law. A hearing has been set for Sept. 13.
Texans did not welcome Pelosi or her political agenda:
