Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is demanding answers over a bombshell report that sex traffickers and their victims may have been among the 120,000 people evacuated from Afghanistan.
The problem is that the administration doesn’t really seem to know who was evacuated. All that’s known for certain is that few of the Afghan allies who’d worked alongside America’s veterans and thus earned the privilege of being evacuated actually got out.
“[A] small percentage of the Afghan citizens who got out are the ones the U.S. pledged to place at the top of its priority list: the thousands who had worked for the U.S. and its allies as well as employees of nongovernmental groups and media organizations,” Bloomberg reported Friday.
“In fact, many of the Afghans who were most vulnerable to the Taliban — applicants for the Special Immigrant Visa program intended for translators and others who aided the American war effort — didn’t make it out because the U.S. told them going to the airport would be too dangerous. And they never got a call to come before the last U.S. plane departed to meet President Joe Biden’s Aug. 31 departure deadline,” the outlet added.
And so who did make it out of the Middle Eastern nation? According to the Associated Press, some of the evacuees may have been elderly sex traffickers.
As part of the mass migration, we’re bringing in elderly Afghan creeps and their child brides.

“U.S. officials at intake centers in the United Arab Emirates and in Wisconsin have identified numerous incidents in which Afghan girls have been presented to authorities as the ‘wives’ of much older men,” the AP confirmed Friday. “While child marriage is not uncommon in Afghanistan, the U.S. has strict policies against human trafficking that include prosecutions for offenders and sanctions for countries that don’t crack down on it.”
Yet it’s known that child trafficking happens frequently across the southern U.S. border thanks to Democrats’ lax border policies. And so it seems likely that child trafficking is also happening in this case.
However, the State Department appears to be trying to pooh-pooh the issue.
“The State Department had no immediate comment on the documents or the veracity of the details in them. Officials say that they take all such allegations seriously but that many of them are anecdotal and difficult to prove,” the AP noted.
This indifference did not please Sen. Ted Cruz. In several scorched-earth tweets posted Friday afternoon, the Texas Republican accused the Biden administration of “literally” perpetuating “child trafficking.”
Today we learned that President Biden has imported an acute human rights crisis into the United States.
There have been multiple cases of child brides and polygamous families from Afghanistan arriving at military bases here in America as part of their botched evacuation.

Horrifying. Joe Biden has imported a human rights catastrophe into America. How is this not literally child trafficking, conducted by the United States government? https://t.co/OT5gzUOwDR

The senator also released an official statement through his congressional office demanding that every Biden administration official “linked to this disgrace … be held accountable.”
“There have been multiple cases of child brides and polygamous families from Afghanistan arriving at military bases here in America as part of their botched evacuation,” he said.
“Reports even suggest that some of the exploitation was a direct result of the Biden administration’s chaotic evacuation process, a process that has enabled and incentivized coercion and abuse to the point where Biden Administration officials may well be complicit in child trafficking,” the senator added.
Attention @JoeBiden, @VP, @SecBlinken, @AmbRice46, @JakeSullivan46:
Are you engaged in child trafficking? https://t.co/PARxlkuaF2

This shocking news comes amid another bombshell report published earlier in the week by Axios revealing that one in three unaccompanied illegal alien children have essentially disappeared into the country.
Illegal alien children are at especially high risk of falling into child trafficking. In fact, it’s happened before.
A congressional report released in 2016 found that the Obama administration had deposited “thousands of Central American children” with alleged “caretakers” who turned out to be anything but.
“U.S. authorities failed to conduct proper background checks before releasing undocumented migrant children to guardians, who in some cases exploited them, a bipartisan U.S. Senate investigation found,” Reuters reported at the time.
The investigation found that this travesty “could have been prevented had HHS adopted commonsense measures for screening sponsors and checking on the well-being of at-risk children,” according to Reuters.

Concerns about the government’s screening measures have once again become an issue because of the Biden administration’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal and the subsequent rushed evacuation of hundreds of thousands of people.
And just like in times past, the left has begun to reflexively accuse anyone who broaches screening standards of being a racist.
