Amid Thursday’s terror attacks in Kabul, Afghanistan, resulting in the deaths of 13 U.S. service members, and the feckless leadership in the White House, U.S. Rep. Tony Gonzales, R-Texas, is sounding the alarm about the possibility of an attack on the homeland through the open border with Mexico
The loss of life, which included more than 90 Afghans, was the deadliest day for the U.S. military in over a decade.
Gonzales, a Navy veteran who supported combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, appeared on ‘Fox & Friends’ to say he feared the attack in Kabul was the beginning of “what we will continue to see.”
Responding to President Biden’s address to the nation yesterday, the GOP lawmaker said it was “frustrating” to hear the president “tiptoe around things.”
“That’s not the kind of leadership we need,” Gonzales said. “We need a steady hand and someone firm and someone that will hold those accountable.”
He said terrorism is “as high as it’s ever been,” noting that there have been reports of more than 10,000 terrorists re-entering Afghanistan.
“What worries me is, I was just on the border yesterday,” Gonzales said. Twenty miles from the border, our southern border is wide open.”
“The last thing that we want to see is a terrorist action happening at home similar to what happened on 9/11,” he would add.
In a series of tweets Thursday, Gonzales pushed the same message while warning people to “remain vigilant.”.
“Our southern border is unsecured at a time when international terrorism is peaking. America please remain vigilant at all times. If you see something, say something,” he initially tweeted.
“President Biden’s shameful handling of the withdrawal in Afghanistan has now led to U.S. personnel being wounded in a terrorist attack in Kabul,” the Republican followed up. “My biggest fear is these attacks today are just the beginning of what we will continue to see.”
My biggest fear is these attacks today are just the beginning of what we will continue to see as the Administration fails to get Americans and our Afghan allies out and to safety. We don’t need statements from the Administration right now – we need immediate resignations.

He also called on President Biden to “IMMEDIATELY secure our southern border before it’s too late!”
Suicide bombs in Kabul today – suicide bombs in the US tomorrow. Biden must IMMEDIATELY secure our southern border before it’s too late!

As it stands, we are on track to possibly reach two million illegal immigrants who’ve entered the country this year alone, with the administration releasing many without even issuing a court date. It would be impossible to know who all these people are.
The head of the Border Patrol, Rodney Scott, told agents before retiring earlier this month that an unprecedented number of known or suspected terrorists are crossing the southern border, the Washington Examiner reported.
“Over and over again, I see other people talk about our mission, your mission, and the context of it being immigration or the current crisis today being an immigration crisis,” Scott said in a video message to agents, obtained by the Examiner. “I firmly believe that it is a national security crisis. Immigration is just a subcomponent of it, and right now, it’s just a cover for massive amounts of smuggling going across the southwest border — to include TSDBs at a level we have never seen before. That’s a real threat.”
The newspaper noted that TSDB refers to known or suspected terrorists, as identified in the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Database.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter:
But at least our border isn’t wide freakin’ open so this terrorism won’t come into our homeland. Oh wait….

With terrorism on the rise, do Biden’s open border polices really make sense?

August 2021, pathological liar Biden has allowed:
Wide open Southern US border.
Many thousands of un-vetted Afghans into the USA at huge risk of terrorism.
The Taliban in control of $80 billion worth of hi-tech kit
American credibility, internationally, destroyed.
Genius!

And how many have already or will be crossing our southern border? Prepare for a resurgence of domestic terrorism, and not by “white supremacists.”

Americans should now sadly prepare themselves for terrorism on their soil. @POTUS has left the southern border open for attacks. And you have another three years of his administration…
