Joe Biden’s presidency has been one of shame and misery and while the “leader” of the free world continues to bumble about after the fall of Kabul, those who have been trapped in hostile territory as a result of his failures are fearful that they won’t make it back home alive.
Evacuation efforts have been hamstrung by bureaucratic incompetence as well as the administration’s focus on how to best spin the greatest foreign policy debacle since Vietnam in order to manage the political fallout, but thousands of Americans are cut off from the airport and stranded in the capital city where they remain at the mercy of the Taliban.
One person who has been thrust into harm’s way by Biden is an American mom who fears that she will never see her children again and in an audio posted by Rep. Carol Miller of West Virginia provides a very different version of the situation than POTUS did when falsely claiming that Americans were having no problem getting to Hamid Karzai International Airport.
The emotional mom whose name has been withheld for her own safety struggled to maintain her composure.
We just received this audio from an incredibly brave American in Kabul. She was attacked each time she tried to reach the airport. Despite the danger to herself, she wants us to share this. We must guarantee the safety of Americans and our allies before it is too late. pic.twitter.com/Oq6R7YuWuJ

“Hour by hour it’s getting more difficult,” she said. “Even when the cars pass by I feel like they’re gonna stop at the door out there and the Taliban out there are gonna come in and kill us.”
The woman, whose brother is identified as a former military translator and contractor who confirmed that at least two of his colleagues had been murdered by the Taliban, provided additional details to Fox News.

“We are devastated,” she said. “We’re scared for our lives. Every moment that a car passes by, I feel like they are going to pull in and execute us. I don’t know if I’m going to see my children again.” she said.
She pleaded with Biden to save those who have been cut off and isolated, “Please Mr. President, please evacuate us, we need help.”
The mom said that it is virtually impossible to get through to the airport, “The traffic starts miles away from the airport,” she said, “It’s probably two, three miles, with thousands of people put together like little matchsticks with no space between them.”
“I really have given up hope, given up on the hope of going to the airport,” the woman told Fox News. “It’s just not possible to make it through all those people.”
She gave a harrowing account of the violence around the airport; “I had to assist this woman whose husband was shot, she had a child in her arms and I was just holding this little child and she was screaming and the husband was on the ground.”
“I was trying to help them but all that I could do was just hold their child and the fear in that little baby’s eyes, I can’t forget those little eyes,” she sobbed.
The woman also said that the situation was “dire” and possibly “hopeless” and that “the Taliban is “going to a lot of homes pulling out high-ranked Afghans, law enforcement, people who worked with the U.S. military or NATO,” according to Fox News.
Her description of reality in Kabul runs completely counter to what Biden said during his Friday presser when he lied that there was “no circumstance” where Americans were unable to get to the airport.

She isn’t the only one who is losing hope as a result of the Biden administration’s inability to rescue them from the Taliban, as seen from an New York Times account shared online by conservative talk radio host Hugh Hewitt:
AM @NYTImes: account after account of trapped Americans, allies, Afghan friends. Congressional offices working all night to assist those close-to-gates amid incoherence in State/DOD ability to find the interpreters and families among the vast crowd of panicked would-be refugees. pic.twitter.com/9p0QAPOTnv

A New York Times report on people who are trapped in Kabul quotes a former U.S. military interpreter who said that “I’ve lost trust in the U.S. government, which keeps saying we will evacuate our allies,” he said, “Evacuation is impossible.”
Despite such devastating accounts from people whose lives are in peril, the administration and the “woke” Pentagon continue to engage in the tiresome song and dance that things aren’t really that bad and that rescue efforts are humming right along.
Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said the U.S. goal in Afghanistan is to ‘get as many people out as we can as fast as we can. And so that's what the focus is’ https://t.co/dWzArGpTDT pic.twitter.com/WRPXSAxFyp

But there is no way to hide the truth of what is really happening around the airport.

With public pressure mounting on Biden to do something, the administration will seek to quiet the critics with ideas like ordering civilian airlines into service for the government but it may already be too late for those who are trapped and are essentially hostages to the Taliban.
