Former NFL quarterback and reality star Jay Cutler has been unceremoniously dropped from a woke Uber Eats ad campaign because he has taken a strong stance against school mask mandates.
Cutler claims the food delivery service dropped him because its “views aren’t aligned” with his recent statements. The former quarterback is also hinting at a run for his local school board.
“Lost a commercial with Uber eats partnering with the NFL. Was going to film in LA, ‘views aren’t aligned.’ Guess they don’t like future School board members. Frees up my weekend,” Cutler tweeted Friday.
He also asked in a separate tweet how to run for the school board.
He had previously tweeted his support of anti-mask protests by parents in Williams County, Tennessee posted by Clay Travis who co-hosts the “Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show.”

In 2013, Cutler married reality TV star Kristin Cavallari and he appeared on her show “Very Cavallari.” They were divorced in 2020. He shares three children with his ex-wife and they go to school in Tennessee.
The couple has made headlines previously for choosing not to vaccinate their children. “Autism wasn’t prevalent like it is now years ago,” Kristin Cavallari said in a 2014 interview on HuffPostLive, “so something’s going on… I choose to believe that I think it’s in the vaccines.”
On Aug. 10, the Williamson County School Board in Tennessee approved a temporary mask requirement for students, staff, and visitors at the elementary grade levels.
Cutler responded to a headline about parents calling for masks in the county by tweeting, “Not this parent. Really hope I’m not put in the corner by Twitter in my first 24 hrs.”

He dissed Uber Eats by quipping on Twitter, “tend to cook at home anyway.”

Uber Eats released a statement to the New York Post on Sunday that asserts they prefer to work with those who support their efforts to get people vaccinated.
“We are proud of all the work Uber has done over the last year to help get as many people vaccinated as possible. As such, we prefer to partner with those who support that work,” a spokeswoman declared.
Uber has made a pledge to provide 10 million free rides for those who wish to be transported to vaccination sites.
Cutler is finding support for his potential run for his local school board and for cutting ties with Uber:
