Former Nickelodeon actress Lindsey Shaw forgot a golden rule in woke America, which is that it’s verboten for white people with all that privilege to cast judgment on non-white people.
Shaw would eventually be reduced to tears, having caved to cancel culture on the left, which had set its sights on her. Taking to social media, the actress announced that she would be taking “a step back from social media.”
What god-awful thing did the actress do to warrant all the hate directed her way?
She “mocked” a viral dance craze started by young black men.
“Hey. Are we OK? What the f–k is this?” Shaw asked in a TikTok video, after a clip of the dance craze played.

With the radical left having ushered in a period in America where everything starts with the color of one’s skin, the fact that Shaw was poking fun at a new dance craze and, as she later explained, was calling attention to differences between millennials and Gen Z, was secondary to her being white and the creators being black.
Of course, this could be a case study on unintended consequences when Democrats and the corrupt liberal media scream from the rooftops for four years that President Donald Trump was a racist without a scintilla of real evidence.
Shaw was inundated with hate online, with many calling her a racist for the remark.
There was certainly an effort to steer the cancel mob her way by the hypersensitive creators who have been told almost the entirety of their lives that they are victims.
My friends and I are black creators that are currently trending on #TikTok this is one of many obstacles we have to deal with on the app. We are often stripped of credits from larger creators and now we’re being mocked by #LindseyShaw we don’t deserve this. Predictable, the Hollywood star melted in the face of all the vitriol coming at her, as seen in the video above.
“I just have to say right now that the hate in my inbox is not okay,” Shaw said on her Instagram Story. “I did not mean anything in any kind of way. I’m learning every day, as I think everybody is. And this kind of hate just needs to evaporate from the planet, no matter who it’s directed towards. Crocodile tears? No, dude — this is like my soul out there. If you know anything about what I stand for or what I believe in, you know that it’s not this.”
“I am sorry you were offended,” she continued. “I think we all need to vibrate higher for the future and I know I’m going to keep learning. For my own mental health, I needed to take a step back from social media anyway. But I’m not here to offend or belittle anybody. At all. I thought that the millennial and Gen Z thing was a thing on TikTok. The intention wasn’t that serious, y’all.”
Sobbing as she spoke, Shaw repeated the need to get off social media.
“I gotta just go off of here for a little while. But I appreciate you, I love you, and I’ll be back,” she said in closing. “And I hope that I know more, and I hope we all have a little more compassion and understanding.”
Well, at least she didn’t apologize for being white. That’s a start.
The biggest mistake Shaw made, other than not reminding herself that social media isn’t the real world, was thinking that people might respect her for groveling, or care if she was sorry for doing nothing more than expressing an opinion about a dance craze. All in good fun.
There’s a growing consensus that social media may be the worst thing that could have happened to society, and while some may debate that point, there’s little dispute that it can be pure evil.
Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter that may support that argument: (** Language warning)

But then, how to deal with inane logic such as this:
Lindsey Shaw is by far the biggest joke ever. I’m sorry but how are you the victim when you were being problematic & racist online?? your “apology and tears” were so fake that I literally could not keep a straight face. You’re a racist and I’m happy you’re exposed. pic.twitter.com/EyExEoQPcK

Lindsey Shaw is the perfect example of a white woman doing something racist, DOUBLING DOWN on it after given a chance to walk it back, then go crying about being bullied on the ig story.
The problem is….TikTok got receipts
