Left-wing comedian Bill Maher has contracted the coronavirus, and his triple-masked far-left haters couldn’t be anymore thrilled.
The official Twitter account for the comedian’s “Real Time with Bill Maher” HBO show posted a tweet early Thursday evening announcing that the host has contracted the coronavirus and must therefore cancel the next edition of his program.
“Bill tested positive during weekly staff PCR testing for COVID. He is fully vaccinated and as a result is asymptomatic and feels fine. Real Time production has taken every precaution following COVID CDC guidelines. No other staff or crew members have tested positive at this time. The show will be rescheduled at a later date,” the tweet reads.

The announcement provoked three types of responses: Questions from people confused about how someone who’s been vaccinated can still contract the virus, “get well” wishes from decent people of all political stripes and celebration from far-left zealots.
Because Maher has been critical of draconian coronavirus restrictions and the media’s incessant coronavirus “panic porn,” and also because he’s always been willing to challenge the left’s myopic thinking, members of the far-left — the type of people who wear three masks and harass others who aren’t doing the same — cheered.

I stopped watching Bill Maher during the pandemic when I thought his attitude towards public safety precautions was inappropriate at best. Now Maher has tested positive for #coronavirus. Karma is a bitch.

@billmaher 😂 karma’s a bitch

@billmaher has become so defiant about COVID precautions, he should appeal to the Fox propaganda cretins. #Karma

Kinda karma isn’t it Bill after all your anti-pandemic rhetoric

Karma…😂😂😂

Islamophobe Bill Maher testing positive for covid on Eid might be compelling enough evidence of God’s existence to make me become a born-again Muslim.

It’s not clear what they were so excited about. Because Maher has been vaccinated, the risk of him facing any serious complications from the coronavirus is zero.
That said, the fact that he was even able to contract the virus confused people who thought that being vaccinated guaranteed that they couldn’t become infected.

What’s the point in getting the vaccine if you just going to get it anyway….

So basically you are saying you can get the vaccine but later on still get it. I think I am good with trusting my own immune system. ( Yes I have had COVID at the very start of it) My own system fought it and I am 69 years old. But I wish Bill well.

I thought if you’re vaccinated you can’t get it?? Science! 😂

Speaking with AARP last month, Gregory Poland, the director of the Mayo Clinic’s Vaccine Research Group, explained that the vaccine doesn’t necessarily prevent contraction of the virus but rather ensures that the symptoms will be mild like the common cold.
“He stresses that all three authorized COVID-19 vaccines — from Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson — are extraordinarily effective at preventing severe illness,” according to AARP.
However, for the most part, incidents of vaccinated Americans contracting the virus have been exceedingly rare:
There are 95 million fully vaccinated people in the U.S.
The CDC has documented 9,245 breakthrough infections. That’s 0.009%
No vaccine is 100% but breakthrough infections are still very rare. We hear about them more when they happen (Bill Maher), but the risk is incredibly low pic.twitter.com/jxGuBXgvjD

And because so many Americans are now vaccinated, even the paranoid Biden administration is finally letting up on coronavirus restrictions.
In a bombshell announcement Thursday, the administration announced that fully vaccinated Americans may now walk around indoors and outdoors without a mask.
President Joe Biden even personally promoted the message by posting the following tweet that admittedly wasn’t well-received because of its bossy, authoritarian tenor:
After a year of hard work and so much sacrifice, the rule is now simple: get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do.
— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) May 13, 2021
Ironically, because somebody as high profile as Maher contracted the virus despite having been vaccinated, double- and triple-masked far-left “Karens” are now doubling and tripling down — no pun intended — on their mask-wearing.

Bill Maher has covid after being vaccinated. So i will continue to mask up and social distance….

Now we learn Bill Maher has COVID? He is fully vaccinated. This is why I will still wear a mask.

You can still get the rona if you’re fully vaccinated. Bill Maher did.
So, yes, I’m still wearing my mask.— Jaime Lopez (@Lopeezie) May 14, 2021
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAND this is why I’ll STILL wear my masks (yes, plural, I’ve been double-masking ever since returning to work last July)!!!
Bill Maher positive for #COVID19. HBO says he was “fully vaccinated”,insists he “feels fine”, yet was forced to scrap Friday’s taping. https://t.co/ZiMLHNSYq3

That’s certainly their prerogative …
In a statement posted to his Twitter account late Thursday, Maher confirmed that, despite testing positive for the virus, he was still feeling “perfectly fine.”
Look:
Thanks to all wishing me get well – hard to do since I feel perfectly fine, but I appreciate it! Most upset about ending my streak going back to 1993 of never missing a Politically Incorrect or Real Time episode. Oh well, even Cal Ripken had to sit one out at some point.
