The next time you visit an “inclusive” Disney resort or theme park, be prepared to potentially encounter male employees dressed as women and female employees dressed as men.

Going forward, Disney intends to provide “greater flexibility with respect to forms of personal expression surrounding gender-inclusive hairstyles, jewelry, nail styles, and costume choices,” according to Josh D’Amaro, the chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products.

Disney Parks, Experiences and Products is one of several subsets of The Walt Disney Company.

While it’s not entirely clear what this new policy means, it sounds like Disney will essentially be allowing men and women to dress as the opposite gender. For instance, imagine a Disney employee dressing as “The Little Mermaid” like singer Harry Styles reportedly did this past week:

In a blog post published Tuesday on Disney’s website, D’Amaro claimed that this new policy is part of a new action plan focused on “creating a place where everyone is welcome.”

“We want our guests to see their own backgrounds and traditions reflected in the stories, experiences and products they encounter in their interactions with Disney. And we want our cast members – and future cast members – to feel a sense of belonging at work,” he wrote.

“That means cultivating an environment where all people feel welcomed and appreciated for their unique life experiences, perspectives and culture. Where we celebrate allyship and support for each other. And where diverse views and ideas are sought after as critical contributions towards our collective success,” he added.

The irony was that his announcement came only weeks after Disney fired conservative actress Gina Carano from “The Mandalorian” series for using a Nazi comparison to highlight the danger of America’s boiling-hot political climate.

Disney did so despite fellow “The Mandaloran” star Pedro Pascal, a gay liberal, having used a Nazi comparison to smear then-President Donald Trump three years ago. Unlike Carano, Pascal was never punished.

This double standard inspired Carano to accuse Disney of engaging in political favoritism. What’s unclear is whether the company intends to address this political favoritism and discrimination.

In the blog post, D’Amaro said only that Disney wants to expand its so-called “Four Keys” — safety, courtesy, show and efficiency — by adding another one for “inclusion.”

“We’re bringing the spirit of the Inclusion Key to life across our business. We’re reimagining our attractions to be more inclusive, like upcoming enhancements to Jungle Cruise and new adventures with Princess Tiana. We’re celebrating the diverse and inspiring stories of our cast and fans with creator collaborations and exciting experiences, like The Soul of Jazz exhibit at Walt Disney World Resort,” he wrote.

“We’re also looking at ways we can support and uplift our communities through programs like our Disney Dreamers Academy mentorship programs, and we’re including more diverse companies in our supply chain. In fact, we’re looking at ways to increase our support for diverse suppliers in a big way – we’ll share more details on this commitment in the future,” he added.

Judging by the promo video below that was published to YouTube on the same day as the blog post, it appears this “inclusion” will also mean embracing Black Lives Matter extremists (fast-forward to around the 1:20 mark):

But again, what about conservatives? Will conservatives be “included?” How about Christians? How about anybody — anybody at all — whose political and ideological beliefs differ from those of the increasingly single-minded establishment?

And what about white people? During a panel discussion last week, another top Disney boss reportedly revealed that the company recently passed on an otherwise “incredibly well-written” script because it would have told the story of a white family — and that would have lacked so-called “diversity.”

“Pass. That’s not going to get on the air anymore because that’s not what our audience wants. That’s not a reflection of our audience, and I feel good about the direction we’re moving,” Dana Walden, the chair of Walt Disney Television Entertainment, said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile, some critics on social media have argued that Disney is ruining the Disney experience by making it about narcissistic personal expression instead of its timeless characters.
