Teachers in one California county were reportedly instructed last year to begin indoctrinating their students in radical critical race theory propaganda and then hide the indoctrination from school administrators and their students’ parents.
This and more were discovered by filmmaker, writer, and researcher Christopher Rufo of the Discovery Institute, who for months now has been on a mission to expose the indoctrination occurring not only in America’s schools, but also the federal government.
His latest exposé concerns Santa Clara County, which on Nov. 5th held an “Ethnic Studies Initiative” for teachers that, despite being put together by the county’s Office of Education, was jam-packed with radical, pseudo-educational propaganda.
Documents obtained by Rufo show that the event began with the Office of Education bizarrely “claiming that Santa Clara County and the public school system ‘occupy the unceded territory of the Muwekma Ohlone Nation, the sovereign nation and original people of the skies, land, and waters.'”

Next, Jorge Pacheco, the president of the California Latino School Board Association and an adviser for the state Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum, delivered an introduction in which he revealed that the curriculum the teachers were being prepped to teach was based on the work of a Brazilian Marxist and designed to educate students on how “to challenge and eventually overthrow their oppressors,” according to Rufo.
Their oppressors were defined as the “white male settlers” who brought with them “white supremacy, patriarchy, classism, genocide, private property, and God.”
“The white colonialist regime of the United States is a ‘parasitic system’ responsible for domestic violence, drug overdoses, and other social problems. In a related PowerPoint slide, Pacheco presented examples of this oppression, including ‘men exploiting women,’ ‘white people exploiting people of color,’ and ‘rich people exploiting poor people,'” Rufo reported, citing Pacheco’s racist arguments.

Pacheco reportedly admitted that the curriculum’s Marxist underpinnings “scared people away,” but insisted that the teachers must be “grounded in the correct politics to educate students,” i.e., the teachers must themselves already be indoctrinated.
While all of these findings are horrific by themselves, perhaps the worst is that multiple presenters — including a San Jose State University professor, Pacheco and even district staff — encouraged the teachers to hide their indoctrination from parents.
“District guidelines and expectations are barriers. [We] have to be extra careful about what is being said, since we can’t just say something controversial now that we’re in people’s homes [because of remote learning],” one of them reportedly said.

This isn’t the first example of radicalized zealots in the education industry seeking to indoctrinate students and then hide the indoctrination from their parents.
Last August a a teacher at Philadelphia’s Science Leadership Academy audaciously posted a public tweet warning that the virtual classrooms slated for the school season (as per the then-still-strong coronavirus pandemic) would allow “potential spectators,” including parents, to overhear what their kids were learning.
This, he warned his followers, might present a challenge for their so-called “equity/inclusion work,” i.e., their indoctrination of schoolchildren.

The indoctrination is, however, becoming increasingly difficult to hide as more parents and teachers are speaking up about what’s happening in their schools.
The issue has become so front and center that even left-wing comedian Bill Maher addressed it in a recent edition of his HBO talk show.
Congressional Republicans have also spoken out against the indoctrination.
The only ones who’ve either remained mum about the indoctrination or, in some cases, even defended it have been Democrat politicians and their media allies, including President Joe Biden, who’s made it clear he supports critical race theory propaganda.
Rufo is one of a select few prominent figures directly fighting back. Earlier this year he announced the creation of the Stop Critical Race Theory coalition, a group whose job it’s been to file lawsuits in state and federal courts to push back on the encroaching, pernicious rise of critical-race-theory ideology.
