President Joe Biden is facing criticism for trying to defend his proposed tax hikes by portraying himself as a “Middle-Class Joe” who’s simply tired of seeing the fatcats swindle supposed peasants like him …
The remarks were made during a broader speech Wednesday about his “infrastructure” plan that actually has nothing to do with infrastructure, but that the president nevertheless thinks will somehow lead to planes that travel 21,000 mph …
About 15 minutes into the White House speech, he started speaking specifically about his desire to spike corporate taxes. But instead of repeating the “fair share” canard touted so often by Democrats, he went with a peculiar new strategy.
“It’s honest, it’s fair, it’s fiscally responsible and it pays for what we need and reduces the debt over the long haul. And by the way, I didn’t hear any of our friends who were criticizing this plan, say that the corporate tax cut which added … $1.9 trillion in debt, wasn’t paid for. The vast majority of [that] went to the top one percent of wage earners,” he said.
He added, “I didn’t hear anybody hollering in this recovery … where billionaires made 300 billion more dollars during this period. Where’s the outrage there? I’m not trying to punish anybody, but dammit, maybe it’s because I come from middle-class neighborhood, I’m sick and tired of ordinary people being fleeced.”

The remarks generated a slew of criticism.
Some noted that his Senate records show that he’d spent his entire congressional career backing corporate interests:

Others pointed out that his tax records show that he’s had no qualms about using the tax laws to his own advantage.
As reported by The Wall Street Journal last year, Biden and his wife “used an S-corp to avoid paying more than $500,000 in levies for Medicare and ObamaCare” in 2017 and 2018.

Some critics argued that Biden is himself the swindler.
The accusation is based on the fact that, as noted by some critics, both the ostensible coronavirus relief bill he signed in March and the ostensible infrastructure bill he’s currently working on funnel billions of dollars to his political allies.
According to Fox News’ Tucker Carlson – among others – Biden’s bill barely even has anything to do with infrastructure.
“First, is this really about infrastructure? Bridges? Roads? Airports? Things we could actually use? Or is it yet another weird climate scheme/power grab/race-based redistribution plan? What exactly is this?” he asked during a “Tucker Carlson Tonight” monologue last week.
“Only about 5 percent of that $2 trillion will actually go to roads and bridges,” Carlson stated. “So, 5 percent on infrastructure, 95 percent on social engineering. That’s what Joe Biden calls a once-in-a-lifetime infrastructure bill,” the Fox News host added. “He’s right about part of it: It is once in a lifetime. If this bill passes, the next generation will life in a very different country.”

Other critics pointed out that, because of the law of economics, consumers will pay the ultimate price for his proposed tax increases.
“Recent empirical evidence seems to support earlier theoretical analysis that domestic U.S. labor bears the largest portion of the burden of the U.S. corporate income tax. The share of the burden falling on labor is routinely found to be between 50 percent and 100 percent, with 70 percent or higher the most likely outcome,” the Tax Foundation reported in 2017.
It added, “As the tax reduces investment, productivity, and wages, the dollar amount of the cost to labor may exceed the revenue raised by the tax by a wide margin.”
Businesses will pass the higher costs back to consumers, thus fleecing those who can least afford to be fleeced by the President & his open, broad daylight robbery from the pockets of average Americans

And lastly, critics drew attention to the fact that every single policy that Biden’s pursued thus far has arguably “fleeced” the American people “bigly.”
His policies have destroyed jobs, spiked the price of goods and services, depressed wages and skyrocketed the chances of inflation.
Meanwhile, he’s begun handing out money to Palestinian communities that have been linked to Islamic terrorism.
