Actor Morgan Freeman recorded a public service ad urging people to get a COVID-19 vaccine, assuring viewers they can “trust” him. And while many on the left may trust the 83-year-old liberal actor, there were plenty of people a bit more skeptical of his advice.
“I’m Morgan Freeman. I’m not a doctor,” Freeman said to open the spot, this being an indisputable fact most can agree on.
Marveling over the idea that people trust him — he has portrayed God in a couple of films — the actor continued to say that he trusts science and so should you.
“So here I am to say I trust science and I got the vaccine,” shared the former host of “Through the Wormhole,” a science documentary TV series. “If you trust me, you’ll get the vaccine.”
“In math, it’s called distributive property,” Freeman said. “In people, it’s called taking care of one another. Get the vaccine. Help make our world a safe place for us to enjoy ourselves again. Please.”
“This is your shot,” he adds in the spot from the Creative Coalition, a group that bills itself as “a non-profit non-partisan organization founded by prominent members of the arts and entertainment community who believe it is our responsibility to use our unique voice to educate and inspire our audiences to mobilize around issues of public importance.”
Freeman also shared the message on Twitter:

On Tuesday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that since the COVID-19 vaccine became available in December — the product of former President Donald Trump’s “Operation Warp Speed” — more than 167 million doses have been administered, with over 62.4 million people full vaccinated.
And while this is more than 18% of the total U.S. population, there are still plenty of Americans who have yet to get vaccinated. And there are a lot of people hesitant to do so, apparently not trusting the long-term effects of the shot.
The Biden administration just announced an ambitious public awareness campaign, involving 275 organizations, designed to combat vaccine hesitancy. The goal being to encourage as many Americans as possible to be vaccinated against the coronavirus.
Being a good trooper, Freeman can be counted on to help the administration out.
The irony being that the southern border is being overrun by Biden-inspired migrants, many of whom are being released into the continental U.S. without being tested for the virus — some reports say 10% or more have COVID-19.
For the record, in March alone there were reportedly 170,000 contacts with migrants entering the country illegally.
Some on social media expressed concerns about the long-range safety implications.
“Morgan Freeman’s a great actor. Unfortunately, there’s not an actor in the world that can give ten year safety data on your experimental technology, so I don’t care who you pay to beg me to get one. I’m not,” one person tweeted.
