Ingraham still searching for ‘all rights are suspended during a pandemic’ clause in the Constitution

Fox News host Laura Ingraham laced President Joe Biden and Dr. Anthony Fauci during her Friday opening monologue for their continued reliance on COVID-19 restrictions even though they have proven to be failures.

“Every day we wake up, and it seems like another constitutional right is under threat,” Ingraham began. “The First Amendment, the Second Amendment, even the Fourth Amendment.”

She went on to say that many Americans are self-censoring “because they’re afraid of the consequences” of speaking out and sharing their own opinions that may run counter to government narratives and cultural groupthink regarding the pandemic and other issues.

Ingraham went on to say that during the pandemic, those who have power over fellow Americans have been lying in order to keep people weak, afraid, and dependent on government authorities and edicts.

“Their goal is to get you to accept a lower standard of living and fewer freedoms,” she said, adding: “That is not America. That’s not the country any of us grew up in.”

“The Ingraham Angle” host went on to rip Biden’s speech this week on the first anniversary of COVID lockdowns as “uninspiring” and full of “half-truths and just plain untruths.”

That included Biden’s claim that under his leadership, vaccine production and distribution was ramped up and increased, though Ingraham noted the foundation for all of that was laid by the Trump administration.

The prime-time host then played clips of Biden and Fauci laying out different timelines for when all Americans will be eligible to receive a vaccine.

“Wait — the Diabolical Duo can’t even get their story straight,” she declared. “But that’s what happens when you build a pandemic response on lies and deceit. Inevitably, it all comes crashing down.”

Continuing, Ingraham blasted Biden’s prediction — a “lie of false hope” — that by July 4, Americans might be able to gather in small groups in their backyards to have barbecues and other get-togethers as vaccinations increase.

“Fifteen months into a pandemic and all you get is a hotdog with like three of your neighbors,” Ingraham mocked. “That’s what Biden’s big gift to you is.”

She added: “Where in the First Amendment does it give the president the power to decide when and with whom you can barbecue? Where is it in the Constitution? I still haven’t found the ‘all rights are suspended during a pandemic’ clause in Article II.”

Returning to Fauci, Ingraham said the media’s trust in and praise of him is unwarranted because he’s been so “wrong and deceptive.”

As she wrapped up her monologue, Ingraham addressed Americans who may be wondering if the stream of lies being pushed by government officials would eventually become accepted as truth.

Citing “East of Eden” author John Steinbeck, Ingraham said, “Most liars are tripped up either because they forget what they have told or because the lie is suddenly faced with an incontrovertible truth.”

“Incontrovertible truths are finally beginning to catch up to Biden and Fauci,” Ingraham said. “We know the truth now about lockdowns, and that red-state governors were right to open up early on.  We know that the WHO is a co-conspirator in China’s COVID cover-up.

“And we also know, virus or no virus, that the government has no power to take away our inalienable rights,” she said.
