Trump getting ‘betrayed from within … lied to by his own advisers’: CEO blows whistle after attending WH meeting on Friday

President Donald Trump is being “betrayed from within” according to comments posted about a Friday night election meeting at the White House.

The president’s chief of staff, White House lawyers and staff were blasted in social media comments by former Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne who said Trump is surrounded by “mendacious mediocrities” and is “being terribly served by his advisers.”

Byrne attended the meeting on Friday which reportedly included former federal prosecutor Sidney Powell, former national security advisor Michael Flynn, White House counsel, Pat Cipollone and Trump’s chief of staff Mark Meadows, as well as Rudy Giuliani by phone.

While there was discussion about the contested presidential election, Byrne contended that there was no mention of a military coup or martial law, despite claims made by reporters such as the New York Times’ Maggie Haberman.

“For the first time in my life, I feel sorry for Donald Trump. He is standing up to his waist in snakes,” Byrne tweeted after his thread calling out the hypocritical staff advising the president.

Haberman reported in The New York Times that the idea of Powell as special counsel on election fraud was discussed as was deploying the military – a suggestion that was allegedly nixed by those in attendance.

“I was there for the full 4.5 hour meeting. Claims military coup/martial law were discussed is 100% fabrication. Trump is lied to by his own advisers, who tell staff ‘get the president to concede’ while they stall Trump,” Byrne tweeted Sunday calling out “greasy slickster” Cipollone as the “leaker” to the New York Times.

“My involvement is I was in the room when it happened. The raised voices included my own. I can promise you: President Trump is being terribly served by his advisers. They want him to lose and are lying to him,” he added in another tweet.

“In addition, any suggestion if there was talk of a military coup or martial law is also a flat lie. 100% false. I was there for 4 1/2 hours, I heard the entire conversation, that is a 100% fabrication,” added Byrne, who told One America News last month that he had “funded a team of hackers and cybersleuths, other people with odd skills” in order to help Trump in his election challenges.

“Mr. Giuliani joined the discussion by phone, while Ms. Powell was at the White House for a meeting that became raucous at times, according to one of the people briefed on what took place,” Haberman had reported. “Other administration officials drifted in and out of the meeting, two of the people briefed said, and the White House counsel, Pat A. Cipollone, pushed back on the ideas being proposed.”

CNN White House correspondent Jeremy Diamond tweeted that he “spotted” Powell leaving the White House Friday night and asked her about her visit. The attorney who has been battling the election results quickly put him in his place, telling him: “It would be none of your business.”

Haberman confirmed Diamond’s claim, and cited an unnamed source “with knowledge of the meeting.”

Meanwhile, Byrne responded to many Twitter users and answered their questions about the meeting and his involvement, also firing back at those questioning whether he was actually at the White House.

Byrne called out those who were not serving the president well.

He told one commenter that he was “correct” in his view that “the US Establishment including the Republican Establishment have decided to end the Trump era.”

“As a CEO, my heart broke to see what he is going through. He is betrayed from within,” Byrne said in another response.

“He truly believes he won and he truly did win. I did not vote for him, but I don’t want to see our country hijacked in a psyop,” he said in another tweet and telling another commenter that Trump will not fire those advising him because he is “Too nice. Thinks he will look bad in press. Nonsense like that.”
