Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., may not be much for taking advantage of his powerful role as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee to hold the left accountable, but he does know how to draw attention to himself.
On that note, Graham turned to social media to troll Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., who inexplicably remains a magnet for attention, over her socialist views, as he jokingly exploited Joe Biden’s call for unity.
Graham was responding to a Fox News story about former President Barack Obama saying last week socialism remains a “loaded” word as he hit the Democratic Party for not giving the democratic socialist bartender from the Bronx a greater platform at the Democratic National Convention.
“In the spirit of unity,” the senator tweeted, “I completely agree with President @BarackObama’s request that the Democratic Party allow a prominent place for @AOC and her socialist message. It’s always good to find bipartisan agreement!

A master at deceptive messaging, Obama referenced Ocasio-Cortez last week during an interview on Snapchat’s “Good Luck America.”
“Socialism is still a loaded term for a lot of folks,” he said. “Once again, instead of talking labels and ideology, we should focus on talking about getting certain things done.”
“The Democratic National Convention I thought was really successful considering the pandemic, and really used technology wisely,” Obama said. “But, you know, the fact that AOC only got, what, three minutes or five minutes … When she speaks to a broad section of young people who are interested in what she has to say — even if they don’t agree with everything she says?”
Obama said to “give her a platform,” though he tried to couch the remark by saying “young Democrats who come from more conservative areas” should have a platform too — you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see how that would go across with the intolerant left.
“New blood is always good,” he said, before turning the focus back on himself — some things never change. “And I say that as somebody who used to be the young, shiny cool guy. But now is the gray-haired old grizzled vet.”
After the 2020 election, moderate Democrats — though nearly extinct, they do exist — complained about the hard left and its socialist agenda after the party took a beating, nearly losing its majority in the House even though Joe Biden miraculously got more votes than President Trump.
Colleges and universities have turned out an entire generation who see capitalism as inherently evil, while viewing socialism in a more favorable manner, and progressives are getting more and more bold about declaring their Marxist-inspired beliefs.
A glance at some of the responses to Graham’s tweet captures the twisted logic being taught in America’s institutions of higher learning, where the free-market ideas that this nation was founded on are seen as antiquated, even “failed.”
Never mind that these ideas made America the most powerful nation the world has ever seen. But then, this is what happens when ceding the educational battlefield to the radical left.
I truly believe her views will gain in popularity as those who are are stuck in old ways of thinking evolve.

The Democratic Party is proudly a young dynamic, energetic party of ideas, intellectualism, and a big tent!
Republicans = more money transferred from poor to rich. That’s it 👍— Georgia Runoff 💙🌊💙 (@laguerita2020) December 2, 2020
She’s less of a socialist than you, Lindsey. Republicans are in general, the more socialistic party now. economic nationalism, corporatism, and national socialism. AOC wants well-regulated capitalism with a better safety net.

An increasing number of Americans embrace her ideas and those that at least approach socialism.
Socialism isn’t bad. The U.S. has employed socialist ideals for years.
To grow as a nation, we should accept that sometimes bad or failed ideas need be left behind.

I think U need to look up the definition of a socialist.Because some Americans believe a portion of our tax dollars should go to families or people in need is not the definition of a socialist. It’s called compassion & love. Our tax dollars are Americans money.Give them respect!
