L. Lin Wood, the attorney representing Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old accused of killing two people during an August protest in Kenosha, Wisc., announced on Friday that his client is out of jail.
Rittenhouse is up against first-degree intentional homicide and attempted homicide charges — his legal team is claiming self defense and video footage of the shootings may support that assertion.
In sharing the news on Twitter, Wood said actor Ricky Schroder and My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell helped contribute to the $2 million cash bail — which set off unhinged left-wing players like Bette Midler.
“FREE AT LAST,” the attorney tweeted, along with a photo of the ‘Silver Spoon’ actor and one of Rittenhouse’s attorneys posing with the high school student.
FREE AT LAST!!!

Speaking of the photo, the out-of-control cancel culture on the left set after Black Rifle Coffee because Rittenhouse was wearing a t-shirt with the Utah company’s name on it.
Co-founder Evan Hafer dismissed any rumors of a connection in a statement.
“We do not support legal advocacy efforts,” Hafer said. “We do not sponsor nor do we have a relationship with the 17-year-old facing charges in Kenosha, WI.”
The oft-violent Black Lives Matter movement and their media establishment allies were quick to suggest that Rittenhouse was a trigger-happy white supremacist, and Midler has already declared him guilty, calling him “a murdering child” as she went after Shroder and Lindell.
“Thanks to everyone who let a murdering child out to do it again?” Midler tweeted on Saturday. ”This boy killed 2 & gravely injured another. Why are you celebrating him? Anyone who owns #MyPillow should toss it immediately into the nearest landfill. And #RickySchroder? Who knew he could be so malevolent?”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., also commented. Staying true to the class warfare mentality she personifies, the socialist lawmaker attributed Rittenhouse’s release to being “privileged.”
In addition to characterizing it as “systemic racism,” Ocasio-Cortez adding that his release is “protection of white supremacy baked deep into our carceral systems.”
Does anyone believe Rittenhouse would be released if he were Muslim & did the same thing in a diff context? For people who say “systemic racism doesn’t exist,” this is what it looks like: protection of white supremacy baked deep into our carceral systems.
Law and disorder.

But rest assured, AOC and Midler were far from alone in reacting, and playing the race card was a common refrain — for what it’s worth, the two protesters killed by Rittenhouse were white.
Here’s a sampling of some other noted responses from Twitter:
Scott Baio and now Ricky Schroeder? As a kid…I clearly made bad choices for celebrity crushes 🤦🏾 https://t.co/sfydjL0vz1

It’s amazing how these people like Ricky Schroder & Mike Lindell will proclaim to be pro-life, but turn around & bail out Kyle Rittenhouse who allegedly murdered two people advocating for Black people not being killed by cops. A true showcase in pure racism! #KyleRittenhouse https://t.co/ePSc7jcq1c

The @MyPillowUSA guy is just that bitch so him putting up money for Rittenhouse shouldn’t come as a surprise.
BUT Ricky Schroeder?!?! The whole “Silver Spoons” connection? It’s like the most acerbic and ironic nod to white supremacy of 2020. Wow. https://t.co/atytQNaFl7

Fuck Ricky Schroder and that MyPillow guy for bailing out Kyle Rittenhouse, arrest this mother, and if you supporter any of it, fuck you too. They are white supremacists and it must be condemned unapologetically as strongly as possible. It’s NOT okay. That’s the tweet.

Ricky Schroder and Paul Rudd are about the same age. Paul is a year older at 51.
Someone’s doing something right and someone else donated bail money to a racist piece of shit murder. pic.twitter.com/2BjgTLK4La

As for AOC’s drivel, social media users weren’t buying what she was peddling:
How on earth is Kyle “privileged”? https://t.co/aHXkhtlnlV
— Koskovics Zoltán (@KoskovicsZ) November 21, 2020
Imagine defining a poor kid from a small town in Illinois as “privileged”. That’s the logic of @AOC https://t.co/5FGPbmO5Ip

Growing up in Wisconsin I always viewed everyone in California or Florida as extremely privileged.
