Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer dubbed the latest Joe Biden press conference a “love fest” with the media as reporters gave the Democrat another pass on questions of substance.

Hemmer and his panelists on “Bill Hemmer Reports” Monday drew attention to the softball questions and called out the media for not confronting Biden, who is being called the president-elect by Fox News despite the election not yet being certified.

“You’ve been watching to what amounts to a bit of a love fest here between the media,” Hemmer told viewers as the news conference ended and the network coverage returned to the studio.

Turning to his guests, Washington Post columnist Marc Thiessen and Democratic strategist Mo Elleithee, Hemmer then recounted some of the questions lobbed at the former vice president.

“By my count, Marc, here were the questions: If the president doesn’t give up, what are you gonna do?” Hemmer said.

“One reporter called it ‘unprecedented blocking of the transition plans.’ … Another question: Will you get the vaccination? What did you think about the president’s tweet on Saturday? Another question as to whether or not families should get together for Turkey Day,” he continued.

“If this is the case, those briefing rooms, gentlemen, will be very different the third week of January,” the Fox News anchor predicted.

“No doubt, no doubt they will be,” Thiessen responded, agreeing with him.

With negotiations stalled in Congress on needed COVID-19 relief, a key point of interest for Americans – how Biden would address the stalemate and deliver an economic stimulus – was not even broached by reporters, as both Thiessen and Elleithee lamented.

Former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer slammed the news conference and the double standards of the press in a tweet noting that Biden was only asked a half-dozen questions, with not one being about the violent left-wing protesters attacking Trump supporters at the “Million MAGA March” in Washington, D.C. over the weekend.

“No one asked him to condemn it. If Biden supporters were attacked, the only questions to Trump would be about violence, demanding that he condemn it,” Fleischer tweeted.

Biden focused his prepared remarks on his economic recovery plan but did declare that “more people may die” if Trump won’t move ahead with the transfer of power.

“What do you see as the biggest threat to your transition right now, given President Trump’s unprecedented attempt to obstruct and delay a smooth transfer of power?” one reporter asked, while another questioned what his message is to “Republicans who are backing up the President’s refusal to concede?”

Other questions ranged from those on international policies such as signing back on the Paris Climate deal, to those focused on the pending coronavirus vaccines and student loan forgiveness.

“What options do you have to try and ensure that you are ready to go on day one?” another reporter asked and others questioned lockdown orders and what he thought about people getting together with their families for Thanksgiving.

“This wasn’t softball. It was T-Ball when putting a beach ball on the tee,” The Hill media columnist Joe Concha told Fox News.

“Four of the first five questions about President Trump. None about condemning the violence we witnessed in Washington D.C. over the weekend. And Joe Biden not even calling on reporters himself, with a staffer deciding on a pre-determined list of approved journalists instead that never ask anything resembling an uncomfortable question,” Concha said. “If this a preview of the next four years, no thanks.”
